开发者解释了新版软件中的特性：“这个可选的特性会主动监视你的计算机，并且通知你是否检测到任何Windows 10活动的已知证据。以前，用户需要不停的反复运行该程序，才能确保设定未被篡改。而现在，有了监视模式，用户就能够即时了解到是时候检查或更新设置项目 了。”

运行GWX控制面板后，系统托盘会出现一个小图标。“双击图标，就能进入GWX控制面板窗口，右键点击该图标则显示菜单。和 获得 Windows 10 图标不同的是，该软件是有退出选项的。只要点击 开启监视模式 即可打开该特性，这会要求系统重启。你也可以选择禁用监视模式，永久关闭该特性。”
