1994年，英国摇滚乐队Pink Floyd邀请霍金为专辑“The Division Bell”（藩篱之钟）中的歌曲“Keep Talking”（滔滔不绝）献声。伴随迷离的音乐，已失去说话能力的霍金使用电子发声器留下了自己的声音：“曾经的数百万年，我们活着，全如鸟兽。”


20年之后，2014年，Pink Floyd在专辑“The Endless River”（无尽的河流）中，与Stephen Hawking再次合作了一首“Talkin' Hawkin”（滔滔不绝的霍金）。

在录制这首音乐时，Pink Floyd给予霍金以更大的表演空间，他更使用了一套全新系统，让电脑直接阅读他脑内的讯息。霍金用粗糙的金属感声音缓缓读出富有哲学意味的歌词：“我们最伟大的希望永远只能在未来实现，只要我们能自由支配科技，我们就有无限可能……我们所要做的就是滔滔不绝。”
