UCSF Medical Center at Parnassus

UCSF Medical Center at Parnassus is located at 505 Parnassus Ave., near Golden Gate Park. Our hospital and clinics cover almost six blocks, an expanse we share with UCSF's health sciences schools. Today, our 15-story, 600-bed main hospital is composed of two adjoining buildings.

At Parnassus, our clinics are centralized in Medical Building 1 at 400 Parnassus Ave., across from the hospital. Our Emergency Department, which treats about 38,000 patients a year, is located on the east side of the hospital on Parnassus Avenue.

UCSF Medical Center at Mount Zion

UCSF Medical Center at Mount Zion is a hub of specialized clinics and surgery services. We are located in the heart of San Francisco with our main facility at 1600 Divisadero St., between Sutter and Post streets, about two-and-a-half miles from UCSF Medical Center at Parnassus.

Our growing network of outpatient services ranges from an Audiology Clinic to a Sleep Disorders Center. Mount Zion also includes a Surgery Center and a 90-bed hospital with 10 operating rooms.

Perhaps the best known service is the UCSF Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center, which has won the National Cancer Institute's highest designation — "comprehensive" — for innovative research and cutting-edge patient care. A Cancer Resource Center offers books, classes, counseling and Internet access for gathering health information.

UCSF Medical Center at Mission Bay

UCSF Medical Center at Mission Bay houses three state-of-the-art hospitals. UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital San Francisco has 183-beds and serves all pediatric specialties. UCSF Bakar Cancer Hospital has 70 adult beds and serves patients with orthopedic urologic, gynecologic, head and neck and gastrointestinal and colorectal cancers. The UCSF Betty Irene Moore Women's Hospital, which serves women of reproductive age to menopause and beyond features a 36-bed birth center.

The UCSF Ron Conway Family Gateway Medical Building is also located at Mission Bay and includes outpatient clinics for both pediatric and adult patients.
