Twenty all-electric double-deckers recently went into operation on Bus No. 333 of Huangpu District, making the line Guangzhou's first sightseeing bus route equipped with such vehicles.
Passengers may feel familiar with these bright red double-deckers at first sight, since they share the same design as the classical double-deck buses of London. These exotic buses also bear the logos of white plum blossoms, the well-known symbol of Xiangxue Park in Huangpu District.

These newly-launched buses render passengers a more comfortable and safer experience than the British prototypes.
For starters, the vehicles are embedded with 52 high-class soft seats, a number of USB charge ports, and an area and equipment set for the disabled. Besides large viewing windows, you can also find two sunroofs, which offer a nice view of the outside scenery. Furthermore, the buses are propelled by a new type lithium battery. A five-hour charge can meet the need of the steady driving of the bus for a whole day.

More impressive are its intelligent systems to keep the driving safer. Using an all-angle observation system, the buses can monitor the surrounding situations without any blind spots. And if the driver becomes drowsy behind the wheel, a special monitoring system will immediately activate an alarm. One more "secret weapon" is that when emergencies come up, the driver can "break" a window by just pressing a key of the ultrasonic system.

With a distance of 18 kilometers, the No. 333 bus route commutes between Daguan Wetland Park (大观湿地公园) and Luogang Xiangxue Park (萝岗香雪公园) from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day. Along the route passengers can enjoy the sight of the landmark buildings showcasing the district's environment, culture and science, such as Guangzhou International Sports Arena, Huangpu Library, International Talent Town, Science Square and Xiangxue Park.
