Engine purred.
引擎隆隆响着。
Friendliest sounds you ever heard.

Little blue truck came down the road.
蓝色小卡车来到路上。
“Beep!” said Blue to a big green toad.
“嘀！”蓝色小卡车跟绿色大蟾蜍打招呼。
Toad said, “Croak!” and winked an eye whenLittle Blue Truck went rolling by.
蟾蜍说：“呱！”，然后向飞驰而过的蓝色小卡车眨眼睛。
Sheep said, “Baaa!”
绵羊说：“咩！”
Cow said, “Moo!”
奶牛说：“哞！”
“Oink!” said a piggy.
“哼！”小猪说。
“Beep!” said Blue.
“嘀！”蓝色小卡车说。
“Cluck!” said a chicken, and her chick said, “Peep!”
“叽！”母鸡叫，“吱！”小鸡唱。
“Maaa!” said a goat.
“咩！”山羊说。
Blue said, “Beep!”
蓝色小卡车说：“嘀！”
“Neigh!” said a horse.
“咴！”小马叫。
“Quack!” said a duck.
“嘎！”鸭子叫。
“Beep!” said the friendly Little Blue Truck.
“嘀！”友好的蓝色小卡车说。
“Honk!” yelled a dump truck.
“哄！”一辆翻斗车呼啸而来。
“Coming through! I’ve big important things to do!
“让开！我有好多重要的事情要做！
I haven’t got time to pass the day withevery duck along the way!”
这一路可没这么多时间和鸭子打交道！”
Rooom! Went the Dump around a curve.
轰！翻斗车开到了一个弯道。
He saw a puddle and he tried to swerve -
他看到了一个水坑，试图转向一边——
Into the mud rolled the big fat truck, andhis big important wheels got STUCK!
但是肥头大耳的翻斗车却冲进了淤泥里，他重要的大车轮卡住了！
His heavy-duty dump-truck tires were sunkdown deep in muck and mire.
他的重型翻斗车车轮在污泥里越陷越深。
“Honk!” cried the Dump, and he sounded scared, but nobody heard (ornobody cared).
“哄！”卡车大叫。他很害怕。
但是，没人听到（也有可能是没人在乎）。
Then…
然后……
Into the mud bump bump bump came the LittleBlue Truck to help the Dump.
砰砰砰，蓝色小卡车开进了淤泥里来帮忙。
Little Blue pushed with all his might - nowBlue and the Dump were BOTH stuck tight.
蓝色小卡车用尽全力推——现在，
蓝色小卡车和翻斗车都陷进了泥里。
“Help! Help! Help!” cried the Little Blue Truck.
“救命！救命！救命！”蓝色小卡车大喊着。
“Beep! Beep! Beep! I’m stuck! I’m stuck!”
“嘀！嘀！嘀！我被卡住了！我被卡住了！”
Everybody heard that “Beep! Beep! Beep!”
大家都听到了蓝色小卡车的“嘀！嘀！嘀！”声。
The cow came running with the pig and thesheep.
牛和小猪、绵羊一起跑来了。
Up at a gallop ran the big brown horse.
棕色的大马飞奔了过来。
Goat jumped over the fence, of course.
当然，山羊是跨过篱笆跑来的。
The hen came flapping with the chick andduck, and everybody pushed the little Blue Truck.
母鸡拍打着翅膀和小鸡与鸭子一起赶过来，每个人都使劲推蓝色小卡车。
Head to head and rump to rump, they allpushed Blue - who pushed the Dump.
用头顶，用屁股搡，他们推蓝色小卡车——蓝色小卡车推翻斗车。
They couldn’t quite budge that heavy load.
他们没能推动这么重的卡车。
Then who hopped up but the big green toad.
突然那只绿色大蟾蜍跳了出来。
All together - one…two…three!
所有人预备——1，2，3，推！
One last push and the trucks were FREE!
两辆卡车都被推动啦！
“Thanks, little brother,” said the Dump to Blue.
“谢谢你，小兄弟。”翻斗车对蓝色小卡车说。
“You helped me. And they helped you.
“你帮助了我。他们帮助了你。
Now I see a lot depends on a helping handfrom a few good friends!”
现在我明白了，很多事情都需要好朋友伸出援助之手！”
“Beep!” said Blue.
“嘀！”蓝色小卡车说。
“Who wants a ride?”
“谁想来搭车呀？”
Everybody scrambled to jump inside.
所有动物都争先恐后地跳入卡车里。
Oink! Quack! Baaa!
哼！嘎！咩！
Moo! Cluck! Peep!
哞！叽！吱！
Neigh! Croak! Maaa!
咴！呱！咩！
Beep! Beep! Beep!
嘀！嘀！嘀！
