官迪凯博士，现就职于英国谢菲尔德大学材料科学与工程系，英国UKRI 未来领军人才 (UKRI Future Leaders Fellow)，主要从事先进轻合金的材料设计和开发，加工工艺的设计和优化，以及相关微观结构的表征研究。曾为英国EPSRC科研项目“Designing alloys for resource efficiency (DARE)- a manufacturing approach” 轻合金课题主要研究员，已在金属领域权威期刊Acta Materialia 以第一作者发表4篇论文，在 Scripta Materialia上发表1篇论文，并在其他期刊发表论文30余篇。发表的文章系统的建立了镁合金变形和再结晶机理以及强韧化机制，为轻合金在航空和汽车等交通领域的应用提供了理论支持。

Are you interested in working in a new research group within a world top 100 University?

The Department of Materials Science & Engineering at the University of Sheffield requires a Research Associate to work on a UKRI Future Leaders Fellowship funded project to develop novel high performance, resource efficient Mg alloys for the automotive sector.

You will work as part of new team of researchers and will be the main contributor to the research activities in Task 1 of the project.

You should have a PhD (or be close to completion/have equivalent experience) in materials science, engineering or physical science, or any other relevant discipline. You should also have research experience in the design and processing of light alloys; microstructure characterization using advanced transmission electron microscopy and high resolution electron backscatter diffraction, and characterizing mechanical properties. Additionally you should have effective communication skills, both written and verbal, report writing skills, and experience of delivering presentations to both academic and industrial partners.

You will have an opportunity to work with other research groups within the Department, other UK and international universities plus industrial collaborators. You will also have the opportunity to present your work at international conferences and UK meetings.
