1929年5月4日，一个叫奥黛丽的女孩出生了。她的母亲是荷兰贵族后裔，父亲则是一位银行家。优渥的家世造就了女孩的优雅。
生活富足家庭美满的她，在6岁时迎来了第一个巨变，她的父亲抛妻弃子、离家出走。
后来在战争时期的艰难岁月中，奥黛丽成为芭蕾舞团的首席女演员的梦想破灭了，为了生活她转而兼职模特并出演影视剧。
1953年，她与好莱坞著名影星格里高利·派克一起主演的电影《罗马假日》正式上映。她出色的演技也让她得到了无数人的称赞。
她就是奥黛丽赫本。
虽然在事业上取得了不凡的成就，但感情上奥黛丽赫本却一生坎坷。经历了两段失败婚姻的赫本，选择以“灵魂伴侣”方式，与演员罗伯特·沃德斯相处。虽然并未结婚，但沃德斯真正做到了“执子之手，与子偕老”陪她走过了最美好的晚年。
少年时期受战争的影响，营养不良让赫本终生身材痩削，儿童时期父爱的缺席也让她对家庭充满了憧憬。
当看到被战争、饥饿折磨的遍体鳞伤的孩子们赫本更是感同身受。
晚年的奥黛丽赫本全身心投入到慈善事业当中，身患癌症依旧踏遍多国，帮助千万受难儿童。
1988年，奥黛丽赫本出任联合国儿童基金会的爱心大使，不遗余力亲力亲为的帮助落后国家的儿童，还用自己的名声来呼吁社会给予帮助。

I would like to read to you something very,very important. And it moves me deeply to have this privilege. The preamble to the Convention of the Rights of the Child.
Every child shall enjoy the following rights without any exception whatsoever. And shall be entitled to them without distinction or discrimination on account of race, color, sex, language, religion or politics. The child shall enjoy social protection and be given the opportunities, facilities, and means to enable development physically, mentally, morally and spiritually in conditions of freedom and dignity.
The child shall be entitled from birth to a name and nationality. The child shall be entitled to grow and develop in health and shall have the right to adequate nutrition, housing, recreation and medical services. The child who is physically, mentally or socially handicapped shall be given special treatment, education and care.
The child needs love and understanding. And shall have the right to grow up in an atmosphere of affection and security. The child is entitled to receive education and an opportunity to develop abilities in order to become a useful member of society. The child shall in all circumstances be among the first to receive protection and relief in times of emergency and disaster. The child shall be protected against all forms of neglect, cruelty and exploitation and shall not be admitted to employment before an appropriate minimum age. The child shall be protected from practices which may foster racial, religious or other forms of discrimination and shall be brought up in a spirit of understanding, tolerance, friendship among peoples, peace and universal brotherhood.
These rights were put into words in the Declaration on the Rights of the Child 30 years ago. Today, and now, on this anniversary day they have become part of the most comprehensive treaty for the protection and support of children in history.
1992年末，就在走访索马里后不久，赫本被诊断出阑尾癌。弥留之际，问到有没有什么遗憾时，她只是说：“我不明白为什么有那么多儿童在经受痛苦。”
1993年1月20日，天使就飞回了天堂。
奥黛丽·赫本常常被人称作是“降临人间的天使”，这不仅是因为她美丽的外表，更因为她具有一颗善良的心。
即使在今天，人们依然能够感受到她迷人的魅力！岁月会侵蚀美丽的容颜，但关爱和帮助他人的美好心灵，永远不会老去。
