近日，英国在华音乐人肖恩·吉普森 (Shaun Gibson) 因谱写并翻唱了英文版《一起向未来》获赞无数。网友刷屏：英文神翻译，押韵又贴切，绝了！
在接受中国日报采访时，肖恩表示：“人生能有几个为冬奥会写歌的机会，所以自己立刻紧紧地抓住了。”
“喜欢就是喜欢，哪儿有为什么”。当被问及为何喜欢中国时，肖恩的回答非常直爽。
肖恩告诉记者：“西方民众很难了解中国到底是什么样的。我希望通过自己的音乐作品，加深大家对中国的了解，弥合一些媒体似乎有意想要扩大的中西分歧。”
I just want to share my experience of China and show people the culture and the wonderful things that I discovered. And I hope through my works, I can create deeper understanding and sort of bridge the divide that traditional media seems hell-bent on making even wider.
肖恩希望通过自己的歌曲，带更多人踏上探索中国文化的旅程。所以，除了翻唱《一起向未来》外，他还把《七里香》《明月几时有》《千秋梦》等歌曲翻唱成了英文版。
但现实让肖恩很难过：“每一篇不实新闻报道的出现，都会吞噬我的一段努力。”
