国防部新闻局局长、国防部新闻发言人吴谦3月31日在例行记者会上回答相关问题时表示，澳大利亚一些政客为了一己私利炒作涉华议题，多次就双边关系、涉台等问题发表错误言论，中方对此表示强烈不满和坚决反对。

有记者问，澳大利亚总理莫里森在大选前称，澳计划在美英协助下，打造一支核潜艇舰队，并在澳东海岸建造核潜艇基地；澳方将斥资380亿澳元用于扩军。澳媒评论称，中国的军事建设是澳增加国防开支的主要原因之一。澳助理防长称，澳必须为解放军“在台湾和其他地方潜在行动”做好准备。请问中方对此有何评论？

吴谦说，近期，澳大利亚一些政客为了一己私利，密集炒作涉华议题，多次就双边关系、涉台等问题发表错误言论，中方对此表示强烈不满和坚决反对。

Some politicians in Australia have repeatedly made erroneous remarks on bilateral relations and Taiwan question, to which the Chinese side has expressed strong dissatisfaction and firm opposition, said Senior Colonel Wu Qian, a spokesperson for China's Ministry of National Defense, at a regular press conference on Thursday.

吴谦指出，美英澳开展核潜艇合作，违反《不扩散核武器条约》目的和宗旨，损害国际核不扩散体系，破坏地区和平稳定，遭到国际社会普遍反对。澳方罔顾事实，通过蓄意鼓噪所谓“中国军事威胁论”大幅扩军、大幅增加军费预算，中方对此表示强烈不满和坚决反对。

Wu pointed out that China is strongly dissatisfied with and firmly opposed to the Australian side, who maliciously hyped up the so-called "China military threat theory" to significantly expand its military strength and increase its military budget. Wu also remarked that the nuclear submarine cooperation between the US, the UK and Australia violates the object and purpose of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT), undermines the global nuclear non-proliferation regime as well as the regional peace and stability, which has been widely opposed by the international community. Wu pointed out that China is strongly dissatisfied with and firmly opposed to the Australian side, who maliciously hyped up the so-called "China military threat theory" to significantly expand its military strength and increase its military budget.

“澳方在台湾问题上的错误言论是非常危险的。我们正告澳方，台湾是中国领土不可分割的一部分，台湾问题纯属中国内政，不容任何外来干涉。如果澳方一意孤行，则必须为干涉中国内政做好付出惨痛代价的准备。”吴谦说。

As for the words from the Australian Assistant Minister for Defense that Australia has to get prepared for the Chinese possible military actions in Taiwan and elsewhere, Defense Spokesperson Wu said that Australia's erroneous remarks on Taiwan question are very dangerous. He stressed that Taiwan is an inalienable part of Chinese territory, and the Taiwan question is purely China's internal affairs. Wu sternly warned that if Australia insists on clinging obstinately to its course, it must be prepared to pay a heavy price for interfering in China's internal affairs.
