缘起：2022年4月19日科睿唯安公布Web ofScience Core Collection，在9818种SCIE来源期刊中，中文期刊共19种，占0.198%，其中内地出版17种，外国出版2种。在3575种SSCI来源期刊中，无中文期刊。在1851种A&HCI期刊中，中文期刊有2种，为台湾地区出版。在8020种ESCI期刊中，中文期刊有21种，占0.26%，其中内地出版12种，台湾地区出版5种，外国出版4种。
为借鉴办刊经验，办好《社会科学理论与实践》《产教融合研究》《艺术文化研究》和Medical Research、Do Business and Trade Facilitation Journal和Integration of Industry andEducation Journal等期刊，开元出版有限公司陆续整理出中文SCI期刊。
