国际护士节的英语是International Nurses Day。今天就和英大一起来学一学nurse这个单词吧。
nurse作为“护士”，它的定义是：
a person trained to care for people who are ill or not able to care for themselves because of injury or old age, and who may also help doctors in treating people.
被培训来照顾生病的或因受伤、年老而不能照顾自己的人，也可以是帮助医生治疗的人。

前缀nur-表示“养育”，作为名词的nurse还表示“奶妈”、“保姆”、“保护树”（一种植物）。

nurse加-ing变动名词形容room，但它可不是护士间哦，而是“哺乳室”、“育婴室”。

02 | nursing home
nursing home表示“疗养院”、“小型私人医院”、“养老院”。
He died in anursing homeat the age of 87.
他在一家养老院去世，享年87岁。
03 | nursery rhyme
nursery是由nurse变形来的，表示“幼儿教育的”、“托儿所”，而rhyme有“押韵”、“诗”之意，所以nursery rhyme表示“童谣”。

她改用童声唱起了童谣。
04 | nurse a grievance
nurse作为动词，也有“怀抱”的意思，引申出来表示“心怀”，而grievance则是“苦衷”、“牢骚”，所以连起来就是“心怀不满”。
