设计一直主动积极地回应世界的变化

为提高国际化人才培养质量,北京工商大学嘉华学院教学改革进入第二个学期,改革借鉴国际合作院校的课程设置和教学方式,使学生在嘉华能体验到国际先进的教学理念、内容和方法,同步提升学生专业能力与综合素养,以及自主学习能力。

本学期教改涉及3门课程,分别是《创意媒体设计》《建模与动画设计》《媒体叙事I》,分别从创意与实现能力、软件制作能力、叙事能力三个角度全面提升学生的专业能力,通过大量的实践教学内容,巩固初步建立起来的专业思维和学习习惯。

因疫情,本学期课程全程线上进行,这给课程进行带来巨大挑战,特别是实践教学如何开展,如何能保证教学质量……教学团队的老师们锐意创新,结合教学内容在授课模式上不断探索,毕然和周梓璇两位老师的《创意媒体设计》以“交互式”教学模式进行,卢鑫与王晓林老师的《媒体叙事1》以分段式进行,王祁和沈浩老师的《建模与动画制作》由两位老师各自教授两个班。根据学情分析,在教学设计做了新的尝试,比如“微项目”推进法、品尝“胜利果实”法、引入“美国加州大学学季制”等不一而足。

课程结合学习方法、资讯收集整理、解读与表达、设计思维方法和工具应用、团队合作、软件运用与创意表达等多个环节整合到课程教学中,课程成果有动画、交互装置、论文、影像……异彩纷呈。

建模与动画制作课程是嘉华创意艺术学院本学期为21级数字媒体艺术专业的学生设计的教改课程之一,将原本设置于大二下学期的高效建模动画软件Cinema 4D的学习下放至了大一下学期的课程安排中。本课程涉及基础模型的制作、曲面细分建模的入门、灯光材质的应用、扩展插件的使用和基础动画的实践等部分。课程采用以项目为中心的教学模式,围绕着五个主题的项目实践所展开,以阶段性、过程性评估考察学生对于不同知识点的掌握程度。

Modeling and Animation production is one of the teaching reform courses designed by Jiahua College of Creative Arts for students majoring in Digital Media Art of grade 21 in this semester. The learning of efficient modeling and animation software Cinema 4D originally set in the second semester of sophomore year is transferred to the curriculum arrangement of the second semester of freshman year. This course involves the making of basic models, the introduction of surface subdivision modeling, the application of lighting materials, the use of extension plug-ins and the practice of basic animation. The course adopts project-centered teaching mode, which is carried out around the project practice of five themes, and evaluates students' mastery of different knowledge points by stage and process evaluation.

本课程虽然是一门以技能传授为主要目的的课程,但让学生在大一阶段就获得上文所提到的三维创意所特有的对于物体的表现力和对于观者的掌握力会成为学生在面对大多数非专业观众和客户时的相对优势 。课程设计上的创新和优化也是围绕着让学生能够快速进行理解其内在逻辑并综合应用实践的主旨。在大一结束时全面上手软件,为之后的自主进阶学习和创作或商业应用铺平道路。

Although this course is a course with the main purpose of teaching skills, it will give students a comparative advantage when facing most non-professional audiences and customers by enabling them to acquire the expressive power of objects and the mastery of viewers which are unique to the three-dimensional creativity mentioned above in the first year. The innovation and optimization of the curriculum design are also centered around allowing students to quickly understand its internal logic and comprehensive application of practice. By the end of their freshman year, I will be able to master the software comprehensively, paving the way for further learning and the creation or business application.

第一个项目是制作自己的立体名片,这部分的内容是一个让他们从第一个学期学习的二维软件向这学期的三维软件的过渡,简单来说就是在上学期学习的平面知识的基础上增加厚度, 并通过排列 摆放不同的板块来培养基本的空间感,同时样条画笔工具还可以帮助学 生巩固上学期学习的钢笔工具,说是立体名片其实更像是可视化的个性签 名,制作立体头像,可视化自己的爱好、特长、座右铭等信息,有些像是虚拟世界交友的名片,具体内容全部由学生自行把握,并且在学生刚接触这个软件的时候就将业内比较认可的灯光材质插件交给学生,经过简单的操作就可以输出一个对于外行来讲较为好看的作品,第三周就可以发朋友圈,这样也是为了将学生开始就放弃的可能性降至最低。

After simple operation, they can output a relatively good-looking work for laymen. In the third week, they can post it on wechat moments, which is also to minimize the possibility of students giving up at the beginning.

第二个项目是制作一个卡通风格的二层小楼,可以算是C4D中最基本的建筑建模应用,可以将建筑物的照片或化作转化为三维模型,讲解基本的建筑结构,使学生通过搭建建筑框架、门窗建模来熟悉C4D中Modeling界面的基本建模工具,了解各类挤压工具、各类切刀工具的使用方式,制作布料、弯管、瓦片等基础材料,熟悉装饰物品的下载渠道,将建筑物的每个部分进行拆解、建模演示、再让学生练习,将建筑组装的过程贴近学生搭乐高积木的方式,让学生学会创建模型的拆分思路和建模逻辑。

Students can convert photos of buildings into 3D models, explain the basic architectural structure, and familiarize themselves with the basic Modeling tools of THE Modeling interface in C4D by building building frames, Modeling doors and Windows. Understand all kinds of extrusion tools, all kinds of cutter tools used, production base material such as fabric, pipe, tiles, familiar with decorative items download channels, all parts of the buildings and dismantling, model demonstration, then lets the student practice, the process of building assembly close to the students build lego way, let the students learn to create the model of split logic thinking and modeling.

第三个项目是制作一个游戏手柄,也同时作为期中考核,这部分反而是整个课程中最难的单元,所以选择了一个款式众多又贴近学生爱好和生活的物品进行学习,来让学生感受一下细分曲面建模的方式方法,通过布线方法的教学来向学生解释三维建模软件共通的底层运算逻辑,将曲面细分的原理和素描基础结合讲解来向学生解释从几何体向曲面平滑物体转变的原理。这部分内容一定有学生学习起来有困难,但游戏手柄的各类型号恰巧为学生提供了各类不同难度的选择,也为我掌握不同学生学习能力和对困难的处理能力提供了很好的参考,为下半个学期的教学提供了精确的定位。

The third project is to make a game handle, which is also the mid-term assessment. This part is the most difficult unit in the whole course. Therefore, WE choose an item with many styles close to students' hobbies and life to learn, so that students can feel the methods of subdivision surface modeling. Through the teaching of wiring method, the common underlying operation logic of 3D modeling software is explained to students. The principle of surface subdivision and sketch foundation are combined to explain the principle of transformation from geometry to surface smooth object. This part of the content must be difficult for students to learn, but the various models of the game controller happen to provide students with different kinds of difficulty choices, but also for me to master the learning ability of different students and the ability to deal with difficulties to provide a good reference, for the teaching of the second half of the semester to provide accurate positioning.

第四个项目是非常落地的瓶类电商海报制作,类似于618购物节推送海报的简化版本,属于前面学习内容的一个综合性应用,在项目前期回顾性的建模、空间感训练、素材配色积累,在项目后期新加入了HDR插件应用;玻璃、液体、贴图模式等重要的材质知识点,为学生将所学知识融会贯通,暑假期间可以接一些商业小单打下基础。

The fourth project is the production of the bottle e-commerce poster, which is similar to the simplified version of the 618 shopping festival push poster. It is a comprehensive application of the previous learning content. In the early stage of the project, retrospective modeling, spatial awareness training and accumulation of material color matching were carried out, and HDR plug-in was added in the later stage of the project. Glass, liquid, texture pattern and other important material knowledge points, for students to learn the knowledge, during the summer vacation can pick up some commercial singlets to lay a foundation.

第五个项目是制作一个6秒左右的手机演示动画,在前期会给学生讲解动画(Animation)、帧(Frame)、关键帧(Key Frame)、帧率(Frame Rate)的基本概念, C4D中Animate界面的设置;中期会利用案例对C4D中如何设置关键帧,并通过动画曲线的调节来生成符合自己心意的中间帧,如何读懂时间线窗口并用它纵览全局等经验,在项目后期继续利用白板亲自手绘拆解手机演示动画的每个步骤和细节最后合成一个完整的动画。

The fifth project is to make a mobile phone demo Animation of about 6 seconds. In the early stage, I will explain the basic concepts of Animation, Frame, Key Frame, Frame Rate, and Animate interface Settings in C4D. Mid may use case on how to set up keyframes in C4D, and through the adjustment of the animation curve to generate after his own heart in the middle of the frames, how to understand the timeline window and use it through the global experience, such as late in the project to continue using the whiteboard personally hand draw apart to demonstrate each step of the animation and details and a complete animation synthesis.
