1.By the end of June, China had 641,000 "road chiefs", according to the Ministry of Transport. The road chief scheme covered 95.2 percent of county-level governments tasked with managing rural roads.

2.Local authorities should promote coordinated development between rural and urban areas , advance rural vitalization on all fronts , consolidate and expand the achievements made in poverty alleviation in coordination with the extensive drive for rural vitalization. They should improve the people's well-being and rural living environment, cultivate social etiquette and civility , and build a new socialist countryside that is beautiful, prosperous and harmonious .

3.Efforts should be made to build good roads in rural areas and maintain them to ensure a better quality of life for farmers and accelerate agricultural modernization .
