失信被执行人是指未履行生效法律文书确定的义务并具有“有履行能力而不履行”、“抗拒执行”等法定情形，从而被人民法院依法纳入失信被执行入名单的人。简单解释就是有能力还但是不还，这种人或者公司一般也被接地气地称为“老赖”。关于“失信被执行人”的英语，有不同说法，大家一起来学习一下。

分开来看，“dishonest”的意思是“不诚实的”，“judgment”的意思是“判决”，“debtor”的中文意思是“借方；负债者，债务人”。所以这三个词连起来就是“不诚实的判决负债者”，也就是失信被执行人。
