1. Speaker: Haijun Jiang, Doctor of Engineering, Director of the Research Department of Strategic Planning, Sinopec Research Institute of Petroleum Engineering. His research areas focus on the technical research, technical support, and developing strategic planning in petroleum resources and clean energy. He is also involved in the development trend and strategy research of carbon capture, utilization and storage (CCUS). He has received provincial technology advancement awards five times, is the author of one book, one translated book, more than 20 papers, and the owner of six granted patents. He has hosted and participated in 12 national and over 20 provincial key projects. Outstanding as he is, he has been honored as “Sinopec Outstanding Young Intellectuals” by the Sinopec Group.

Abstract: After summarizing the low carbon transformation and development strategies of foreign oil companies and oil service companies, the lecture comprehensively analyzes the research status of carbon emission reduction engineering technology. The development status of carbon emission reduction engineering management patterns including integration of geology and engineering, factory-like drilling, and management mode of daily rate system are summarized. On the basis, the development suggestions of carbon emission reduction technology in petroleum engineering are proposed.
