Passengers at Jinan railway station now have the chance to enjoy a meal cooked and served by robots at an intelligent robot restaurant that recently opened in the station's waiting area.

The restaurant is the first of its kind to open at a railway station in China. It is located on the second floor of the station's waiting room and has an area of 560 square meters, which can accommodate up to 220 people.

The restaurant offers noodles, stir-fried dishes, coffee and ice cream, which are all made by robots. Robots also serve customers in less than five minutes after they place their orders. The intelligent restaurant "staff" is expected to make the dining environment healthier and safer.
