LXML Sepon Honoured at 2022 Lao Business Leader Awards

近日，在老挝国家会议中心由老挝总理和工商部长主持的颁奖仪式上，老挝国家工商会（LNCCI）向赤峰黄金万象矿业（LXML）颁发“老挝杰出商业领袖奖”，以表彰万象矿业Sepon矿山在2022年度对社会经济发展所做出的杰出贡献。

Recently，at a ceremony at Lao PDR’s National Convention Centre in Vientiane Capital chaired by the Prime Minister and the Minister of Industry and Commerce, the Lao National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LNCCI) issued a Lao Business Leader Award to Chifeng Lane Xang Minerals Limited (LXML), acknowledging Sepon mine’s outstanding contribution to socio-economic development in 2022.

“本人非常荣幸能够代表赤峰黄金万象矿业全体员工领取此奖项。”万象矿业执行董事Saman Aneka先生表示，他还强调，“这一奖项将激励我们作为一名负责任的企业，要继续努力前行，发展业务，让更多人受益。”

“I am very honoured to accept this award on behalf of everyone at Chifeng LXML,” said Mr Saman Aneka, LXML Managing Director. “Recognition inspires us to continue to strive and move forward as a responsible investor to grow the business and benefit more people.”

同时，由于万象矿业对社会和经济所做出的发展贡献，就业和环境评估的优秀表现，还荣获了“40年大奖”、“东盟矿业卓越奖”、“东盟企业社会责任（CSR）和社区发展贡献奖”。

LXML has received a ‘40 Year Award’ for social and economic contributions, employment and environmental performance, an ASEAN Award for Mining Excellence, and an ASEAN Award for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and community development.

自2003年开始运营至今，万象矿业Sepon矿山生产了超过150万盎司黄金和110万吨铜，为老挝贡献超过16亿美元的直接收入。此外，万象矿业通过就业、培训、社区发展、向当地商业伙伴和供应商支付，创造了数亿美元的间接收益。万象矿业在国家和地区基础设施方面投资约5000万美元，在战时炮弹遗留隐患清理方面投资5600万美元，并在文化遗产保护和其他社会支持项目上投资数百万美元。

Since operations commenced in 2003, LXML Sepon has produced over 1.5 million ounces of gold and 1.1 million tonnes of copper, contributing over US$1.6 billion in direct revenue to the Lao PDR in taxes, royalties, and dividends. In addition, LXML has provided hundreds of millions of dollars in indirect benefits through employment, training, community development, and payments to local business partners and suppliers. LXML invested approximately US$50 million in national and local infrastructure, US$56 million in UXO clearance, and millions of dollars in cultural heritage preservation and other programs.

沙湾拿吉省Vilabouly社区有40000多人受益于社区发展项目，这些项目的投资总额达2000万美元。同时在Sepon矿山的发展历程中，通过当地商业团体获得的社区收入累计超过5000万美元。

More than 40,000 people in Vilabouly District, Savannakhet Province, benefit from community development programs, totalling US$20 million worth of projects and investment. Community income through local business groups has accumulated to more than US$50 million over the life of Sepon mine.
