As the 2022 academic year comes to an end, the school reflects on the ideals that the students of SSES Integrated Department have cultivated with their sweat, the growth they have achieved with their efforts, and the medals they have won with their persistence!

数学竞赛

1. AMC即American Mathematical Competition，由美国数学协会举办，是世界上目前可信度和含金量最高的数学考试之一。作为美国国家队的唯一选拔平台，每年仅北美地区就有超过30万次学生报名参加。

融中学子李修锴、融高学子张烽熠分别在AMC8和AMC10比赛中跻身全球前1%，获得全球卓越奖，另有4名学子获得全球优秀奖。

AMC is one of the most credible and prestigious mathematics exams in the world today. MYP student Li Xiukai and DP student Zhang Fengyi were among the top 1% of the world in AMC8 and AMC10 competitions respectively, winning the Global Excellence Award, and four other students won the Global Excellence Award.

2.滑铁卢数学竞赛，由滑铁卢大学（University of Waterloo）数学系的加拿大数学与计算机教育中心（CEMC）举办，它面向从七年级到十二年级的全年龄段，是加拿大最具影响力的竞赛之一。

滑铁卢数学竞赛共分为13类，其中：高斯数学竞赛（Gauss ）是加拿大初中阶段最高级别的数学竞赛之一，欧几里得数学竞赛（Euclid Contest）主要面向十二年级的学生，也被称为加拿大的「数学托福考试」。

本学期，融合部学子在Gauss系列数学竞赛中34人斩获Distinction；在 Fryer系列竞赛中22人斩获Distinction，在Galois系列竞赛中15人斩获Distinction，在Euclid系列竞赛中7人斩获Distinction。

In this semester, 78 students from the Integrated Department won Distinction in Waterloss series mathematics competition.

值得一提的是，融中王逸朗、赵皓朗两位同学在Gauss竞赛中挤进全球前5%，获得Outstanding Achievement最高奖。

It is worth mentioning that two students from MYP, Yilang Wang and Haolang Zhao, were ranked in the top 5% of the world in the Gauss competition and won the top prize of Outstanding Achievement.

3.袋鼠数学思维比赛由澳大利亚著名数学家Peter O’Halloran于1980年发起，全球每年有超过630万学生参与。它以锻炼学生数学思维，培养学生阅读、理解、分析和解决问题的能力为宗旨。本学期，融合部小学斩获4个全国超级金奖；融合部中学斩获1个全球满分成就奖和2个全国超级金奖。

The Kangaroo Mathematical Thinking Competition was launched in 1980 by renowned Australian mathematician Peter O'Halloran and over 6.3 million students take part in it worldwide each year. This semester, PYP won four National Super Gold Awards; MYP won one Global Perfect Achievement Award and two National Super Gold Awards.

化学竞赛

英国化学奥林匹克竞赛（UK Chemistry Olympiad, UKChO）由英国皇家化学学会（Royal Society of Chemistry，RSC）主办，是英国历史最久、学术性最强、影响力最大的高中化学竞赛。UKChO近几年参赛人数持续增长，试题难度明显提高，在激烈的竞争中融合部高中学子摘得2金、2银、4铜！

The UK Chemistry Olympiad (UKChO), organized by the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC), is the oldest, most academic and influential high school chemistry competition in the U.K. In recent years, the number of participants in UKChO has continued to grow and the difficulty of the questions has increased significantly. In the fierce competition DP students won 2 gold medals, 2 silver medals and 4 bronze medals！

2.加拿大化学竞赛（Canadian Chemistry Contest，简称 CCC）由加拿大化学学会 (Chemical Institute of Canada , 简称 CIC)主办，是加拿大最具学术权威的化学竞赛之一。融合部高中郑媛诗怡过关斩将，最终获得全球杰出奖！除此之外，DP学子另获3枚全国银奖，5枚全国铜奖，2枚区域优秀奖。

The Canadian Chemistry Contest (CCC), organized by the Chemical Institute of Canada (CIC), is one of the most prestigious chemistry competitions in Canada. DP student Shiyi Zheng won the Global Excellence Award! In addition, DP students won three national silver medals, five national bronze medals, and two regional merit awards.

英国中学生物奥赛(British Biology Olympiad，简称 BBO)，由英国皇家生物学会主办，至今已有24年历史，是英国中学历史最长、影响最大的理科竞赛之一。融合部高中学子喜得1枚全球金奖，2枚银奖，2枚铜奖。

British Biology Olympiad (BBO), organized by the Royal Society of Biology, is one of the oldest and most influential science competitions for secondary schools in the UK. DP students won one global gold medal, two silver medals and two bronze medals.

In addition to BBO, students from the Integrated Department actively participated in various biology competitions. DP student Cao Qiqiang won the global bronze medal in the American Biology Competiton and Zheng Yuan Shiyi and other students won the regional excellence award.

物理竞赛

“物理杯”美国高中物理测评(Physics Bowl)是由美国物理教师协会（AAPT）举办的年度物理竞赛。其由经验丰富的注册物理老师和教授撰写比赛问题并评判结果，是具有非凡影响力的高中物理测评活动。

融合部高中学子在本次比赛中摘得1枚金奖、1枚铜奖、1枚物理优秀奖。

The Physics Bowl is an annual physics competition organized by the American Association of Physics Teachers (AAPT). It is a highly influential high school physics assessment event in which experienced and certified physics teachers and professors write the questions and judge the results.

China Thinks Big创新研究项目大挑战（简称CTB）是以学术研究和社会实践推动社会创新的国际级别高中生创新活动，是世界范围内极具影响力的华人青少年跨学科挑战项目。

活动多年来联合耶鲁、斯坦福、清华、北大等数十所国内外顶尖大学教授，诺贝尔奖、普利策奖得主与各领域专家学者，向世界范围内的华人中学生提出课题研究和创新挑战。

尚德融合部美加陈心远同学远赴美国哈佛大学逐奖追梦，其所在的团队在全球赛中脱颖而出，获得全球一等奖的荣誉。

China Thinks Big Innovation Research Project Grand Challenge (CTB) is an international-level innovation activity for high school students that promotes social innovation through academic research and social practice and is a highly influential interdisciplinary challenge program for Chinese youths worldwide.

NB student, Chen Xinyuan, went to Harvard University to pursue his dream, and his team won the first prize in the global competition.

This semester, the Integrated Department received 128 national awards, including a perfect score in the Oxford Thinking Programming Challenge and a perfect score in the National Economics Challenge (NEC) Microeconomics.

牛津大学编程思维挑战OUCC( The Oxford University Computing Challenge ) 是由牛津大学在2017年专为激活青少年学习编程兴趣，培训思维能力和选拔优秀人才而创办的新型思维挑战。融合部的学生们横揽满分奖、一等奖等。

The Oxford University Computing Challenge is a new type of thinking challenge created by the University of Oxford in 2017 specifically to activate young people's interest in learning programming, train their thinking skills and select the best talents. Students from the Integrated Department won full marks and the first prize.

全美经济学挑战赛(National Economics Challenge，简称NEC)是由美国经济教育学会(Council for Economic Education)举办的最具影响力的高中生经济学竞赛。其旨在激发学生对经济学知识的兴趣、培养解决问题的能力、建立批判性思维习惯。据统计，超过20%的NEC美国决赛选手被哈佛、耶鲁、斯坦福等藤校录取。融合部学子在个人竞赛和团体比赛中都收获满满。

The National Economics Challenge is the most influential economics competition for high school students organized by the Council for Economic Education. It is designed to stimulate students' interest in economics, develop problem-solving skills, and build critical thinking habits.

美国学术五项全能(United States Academic Pentathlon)是专为中学生打造的综合学术活动与测评平台。其涵盖了语言、艺术、科学、社会学科和数学学科，在国际学术界得到广泛认可。融合部19名学生在超过10,000人参赛的活动中脱颖而出。

The United States Academic Pentathlon is a comprehensive academic activity and assessment platform for high school students. It covers language, art, science, social studies and mathematics and is widely recognized in the international academic community. Nineteen students from the Integrated Department were selected in an event with over 10,000 entries.

MGNS乐生新境欧洲音乐比赛由MGNS国际音乐比赛组委会与全球音乐教育家协会联合主办，是国内首创集钢琴演奏和声乐表演为一体的专业音乐比赛。

MGNS Music Competition is jointly organized by MGNS International Music Competition Organizing Committee and Global Music Educators Association, which is the first professional music competition integrating piano performance and vocal performance in China.

融合部小学学生在MGNS比赛中获得4枚金奖，9枚银奖，7枚铜奖。

This semester, 226 students from the Integrated Department won urban awards, including the first prize in the 38th Shanghai Youth Science and Technology Innovation Competition, the first prize in the 2023 Brain Bee Brain Science Competition Shanghai Regional Competition, and the special prize in the "Outlook Superstars" English Competition, etc.

The Shanghai Youth Science and Technology Innovation Competition, the largest and highest level youth science and technology competition in the city, aims to lead students to be at the forefront of science and technology innovation. 3.“希望之星”英语竞赛为全国英语爱好提供一个发展思辨能力，展示语言综合能力的广阔平台。在本次比赛中，尚德融合部满载而归，共有17名学生获得特等奖，8名学生获得一等奖，其中7名学生冲进国赛！

4.Spelling Bee比赛源于美国，是全球享有盛誉的年度性英文拼词竞赛。Spelling Bee大赛不仅鼓励、帮助学生大幅提高英语词汇量、掌握单词的发音规律和拼写技巧，而且激发学生的英语学习兴趣，提高自信心。

The Spelling Bee competition originated in the United States and is an annual English spelling competition with a global reputation.
