昨晚熄灯了，小V路过大厅时，看到外教Jonathan一个人呆在里面，时不时的拿着手机看一下，不知道发了什么事情。小V正要离开，一同学Ben走了进来，对外教说，“Don't look phone!”外教听了一脸一脸懵逼。Ben的英语不好，手舞足蹈一番才弄明白他是提醒外教不要在暗处看手机。

一、look

Look 是指为了看清某物而有意识地去看，强调的是看的动作。它的后面一般跟at 或 for。所以，“看手机”不能用“Look the phone”！

Mini V asked her to look at my new iPhone.

小V我（VOA英语城）让她看看我的新苹果手机（把目光放到手机这个物品上）。

Sarah invited Mini V to look for shells onthe seashore together.

二、see

See 是指眼睛注意到了或意识到什么人或物，在这里指有没有看到手机这个物品，强调的是眼睛有没有看见。所以，“看手机”不能用“See the phone”！

She yelled at Mini V, "I can't seeit!"

她对小V（VOA英语城）我大喊大叫：“我看不见它！”

三、Watch

Watch是指持续观察一段时间，注意正在发生的事情，比如看电视，看电影，看日落等。所以，“看手机”不能用“watch the phone”！

She and Mini V were watching a film when hecame in.

他进来时，她和小V我（VOA英语城）正在看电影。

四、check

check有“检查”、“核对”的意思，check the phone指有意识地检查手机，比如看看有没有收到新的手机消息。所以，check the phone有我们常说的看手机的意思。

Mini V's girlfriend checks her phone everyonce in a while.

小V（VOA英语城）我的女朋友每隔一会儿就看一下她的手机。

五、look through the phone

look through 有“阅读”、“浏览”的意思。所以，look through the phone就是“查看手机”的意思。

Mini V used to look through my phone to getinformation from the Internet.

小V我（VOA英语城）曾经通过手机从互联网上获取信息。

Mini V saw her looking through her phoneall day yesterday.

昨天小V（VOA英语城）我看到她整天都在看手机。

六、swipe the phone

swipe是“滑动”的意思。swipe the phone指在屏幕上滑动，即刷手机。如果你是在某APP上“滑动浏览”，那么可以用swipethrough，比如swipe through VOAEC 刷VOAEC。

七、browse

browse 作名词或动词时都有“浏览”的意思。所以，浏览网页，刷微博等都可以使用这个词browse on the phone，或者接浏览的对象如网页、APP名称。

1.如果你只是查查有没有新消息，那么可以用check the phone。

2.如果你是查阅文档，浏览网页，看新闻等，那么可以用look through the phone。

3.如果你是在刷手机，即在屏幕上划来划去，那么可以说swipe my phone。

4.如果你是在滑动浏览某APP，那么可以用swipe through the___ （填写APP的名称）。

5.如果是浏览网页内容或者APP，那么还可以用browse。
