My Favorite Color

Have you ever seen the rainbow,

whose colors puzzled me so much in my childhood, in the blue sky after a heavy rain?

Green is,and will always be,my favorite color.

Somebody told me that green is the mixture of two primary colors yellow and blue

just as most green in nature is given life by blue sky and yellow earth.

Since I love life, I love the color green.

The color green always gives me

an impression of being full of vitality and vigour.

When somebody is called an"evergreen tree",

the appreciation and the admiration are showed from the words.

The color of green symbolizes hope.

When a despairing traveler in a desert sees a piece of far-away oasis,

the hope of survival is sure to rise in his heart.

So the color green always inspires me.

Maybe now you can understand why I prefer green to other colors.

你见过彩虹吗?

在我童年时,彩虹的色彩让我大为不解，在一场大雨后出现在蓝天中的彩虹。

可现在只有绿色是我最喜欢的颜色，将来也是如此。

有人告诉我,绿色是两种颜色的混合物--黄色和蓝色,

正如自然界中的大多数绿色生命是由蓝天和黄土地孕育出来的一样。

因为我热爱生命,所以我喜欢绿色。

绿色总是给我

充满生机和活力的感觉。

当有人被称为"常青树"时，

话语间充满了欣赏和倾慕之情。

绿色象征希望，

当沙漠中一个绝望的旅行者看见远方的一片绿洲时，

生存的希望就会从心底升起。

所以,绿色总是鼓舞着我。

也许现在你能明白为什么我喜欢绿色胜过其他颜色了吧。
