Iraqi airways officially resumes flights from Baghdad to Guangzhou

2023年10月11日凌晨3点，伊拉克航空 (Iraqi airways)的一架波音787梦想客机平稳抵达广州白云国际机场，标志着巴格达至广州航线正式复航。伊拉克航空中国区首席代表阿里先生出席了在机场的复航庆典仪式，欢迎复航后的首班旅客及机组人员，并一同欢送首班出发旅客。

At 3 a.m. on October 11, 2023, an Iraqi airways Boeing 787 Dreamliner arrived smoothly at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, marking the official resumption of flights from Baghdad to Guangzhou. Mr. Ali, Chief Representative of Iraqi airways in China, attended the resumption ceremony at the airport, welcomed the passengers and crew of the first flight after the resumption of flights, and bid farewell to the first departing passengers.

根据复航计划，广州至巴格达为每周两班，IA474每周三、周日上午5:00点（北京时间）从广州白云机场出发，8:00点（巴格达时间）抵达巴格达国际机场；IA473每周二、周六下午14:00点（巴格达时间）从巴格达国际机场出发，次日上午3:00点（北京时间）抵达广州白云国际机场。该航线采用伊拉克航空最新引进的波音787梦想客机执飞，采用经济舱和公务舱两舱布局。

According to the resumption plan, there are two flights per week from Guangzhou to Baghdad. IA474 departs from Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport at 5:00 am (Beijing time) every Wednesday and Sunday and arrives at Baghdad International Airport at 8:00 am (Baghdad time) ; IA473 departs from Baghdad International Airport at 14:00 pm (Baghdad time) every Tuesday and Saturday and arrives at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport at 3:00 am (Beijing time) the next day. This route is operated by Iraqi airways’ newly purchased Boeing 787 Dreamliner, with a two-class layout of Economy Class and Business Class.

伊拉克航空是伊拉克的国家航空公司，也是中东地区历史最悠久的航空公司之一，以巴格达国际机场为枢纽通航伊拉克以及中东、欧洲、非洲、亚洲50多个目的地。伊拉克航空正持续扩大和更新机队，以进一步满足区域内商务和休闲旅行市场的增长。伊拉克航空已与波音公司和空客公司签订了31架飞机的订购协议，其中包括16架波音737MAX客机、10架波音787客机和5架空客A220客机。今年以来，伊拉克航空已经接收了多架737MAX客机和2架波音787-8客机。

Iraqi airways is the national airline of Iraq and one of the airlines with the longest history in the Middle East. It uses Baghdad International Airport as its hub and flies to more than 50 destinations in Iraq and the Middle East, Europe, Africa and Asia. Iraqi airways is continuing to expand and renew its fleet to further meet the growth of the business and leisure travel markets in the region. Iraqi airways has signed an order agreement with Boeing and Airbus for 31 aircrafts, including 16 Boeing 737MAX, 10 Boeing 787 and 5 Airbus A220. Since the beginning of this year, Iraqi airways has received part of the Boeing 737 MAX order and 2 Boeing 787-8.

中国和伊拉克均为文明古国，两大文明的交往可以追溯到2000多年前的古丝绸之路。今年是中国和伊拉克建交65周年，也是共建“一带一路”倡议提出10周年。伊拉克是最早加入共建“一带一路”合作的阿拉伯国家之一，两国2015年签署共建“一带一路”合作文件。近年来，伊拉克经济逐渐复苏，两国往来也日益密切，中伊两国直航航线的恢复有助于进一步加强两国在经贸、投资、文化、能源、科技等领域的商业联系，搭建新时代“空中丝路”，进一步推动中伊战略伙伴关系不断向前发展。

China and Iraq are both countries with ancient civilizations. The exchanges between the two civilizations can be traced back to the ancient Silk Road more than 2,000 years ago. This year marks the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Iraq, and the 10th anniversary of the joint construction of the "Belt and Road" initiative. Iraq was one of the first Arab countries to join the Belt and Road Initiative. The two countries signed a cooperation document on the Belt and Road Initiative in 2015.

In recent years, Iraq's economy has gradually recovered, and exchanges between the two countries have become increasingly closer. The resumption of direct flights between China and Iraq will help further strengthen commercial ties between the two countries in the fields of economy and trade, investment, culture, energy, science and technology, and build the “Aerial Silk Road” of a new era, which will further promote the continuous development of China-Iraq strategic partnership.
