除了 iPhone，苹果公司还有很多以 i 后跟大写字母命名的产品。
比如，iMac、iPad、iPod 和最早的 iBook 产品，以及苹果现在的 iOS、iTunes、iBooks 等软件，都是以 i 为前缀，后面跟一个大写字母来命名的。

从设计和英文的角度来看，iPhone、iPad、iMac 等产品中第二个大写字母的命名方式叫做"驼峰命名"，这种命名方式可以突出产品的主体，让人看了更加美观。

i 表示 "我"，后面的 "Phone "表示手机，"Mac "表示苹果电脑，"Pad "表示平板电脑。
一起被称为：我的手机、我的苹果电脑和我的平板电脑。
其实，这是很简单明了的。苹果公司最初注册使用这些名称时，也是考虑到这样更容易推广和被人们记住。

要正确回答上述问题，需要了解一个背景。乔布斯于1985年被自己所创办的公司炒了鱿鱼，1997年又重新回归苹果，让濒临破产的苹果公司起死回生。
在乔布斯的带领下，苹果公司研发了一系列“i”家族的电子产品，诸如iMac, iPod, iPad, iBook, iPhone等。这个“i”其实是“互联网（internet）”的意思，就是为了适应互联网时代而研发的一系列产品。这反映了乔布斯的一种观念，他认为新时代的任何电子产品如果脱离互联网都难以生存。
1998年，在苹果推出iMac的发布会上，乔布斯对字母“i”的含义进行了介绍，说明“i”包含了internet（因特网）、individual（个性化）、instruct（指引）、inform（通知）及inspire（启示）等多重含义在里面。

为什么后期命名变了？
但在这个时候，肯定有人会有疑问。还有很多苹果产品并不是这样命名的，比如现在的 HomePod、Apple TV、Apple Watch 和 AirPods。

就连苹果后来推出的大量新产品，也没有采用 i 和骆驼壳的命名方式。它们都采用了传统的英文命名方式。
其实，原因很简单。主要是专利注册的问题。由于苹果 iPad 和 iPhone 的热销，其他以 i 开头的名称已经被注册。
