李咏，1968年出生于新疆维吾尔自治区乌鲁木齐市沙依巴克区，祖籍陕西省咸阳市三原县，别看他主持节目的时候，特别会说话，但其实他从小是一个非常内向的人。

Li Yong was born in 1968 in Shayibake District, Urumqi, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. Despite being articulate as a host, he was actually a very introverted person since childhood.

小时候，他因为性格内向，没有什么朋友，在学校也不知道该怎么和同学交流。他只能默默的把情绪藏在了画画里。

Due to his introverted nature, he had few friends and didn't know how to interact with classmates at school. He could only hide his emotions in drawing.

这天，一个年轻的老师路过教室的时候，看见独自一个人坐在教室的李咏，他便进去看了看。他发现李咏居然在画画，哈哈大笑起来，指着李咏画的画说，你还是找点其他兴趣爱好吧，你实在是不适合画画，说着便笑了出去。这更加打击原本就性格内向的李咏，他把所有画过的画全部都撕了，从此以后，他什么也不干，就一个人默默坐在教室里发呆。

One day, a young teacher passed by his classroom and saw Li Yong sitting alone, drawing. The teacher laughed and pointed at Li Yong's drawing, saying, "You should find some other hobbies, you're not suited for drawing." This made him happy, feeling like he finally had friends. From then on, he went to the mountains every day, reading aloud to the birds, who would always respond with chirps.

His mother noticed this and, realizing that her child had finally found an interest, arranged for a teacher to teach him oral English and broadcasting.

刚开始李咏非常抗拒这个老师，还对妈妈发火自己以后都不会再朗诵课文了。其实他不是不喜欢，而是他被画画的老师嘲笑，他害怕这个老师也是那样，无情的嘲笑自己的兴趣。

Initially, Li Yong resisted this teacher and even lashed out at his mother, vowing never to recite texts again. It wasn't that he didn't like it, but rather, he was afraid of being ridiculed by another teacher, just as he had been with drawing.

但令他没想到的是，这个老师非常的尊重他，还夸赞他对小鸟朗诵课文的行为。就这样李咏才接受了这个老师，一直跟着他学习。在他的努力下，终于顺利考上了中央传媒大学播音主持专业。

To his surprise, this teacher respected him and praised his recitation to the birds. This led Li Yong to accept the teacher and study under him. Through his efforts, he eventually successfully enrolled in the Broadcasting and Hosting program at the Communication University of China.

在读大学期间，他认识了他的妻子哈文。李咏认识哈文充满戏剧性，哈文是李咏的同学，是从宁夏考到广院学播音的，起初李咏发现这个女孩侧面很好看，轮廓清晰分明，于是每天上课就用笔给女孩画画，两个人就画到了一起。

During his university years, he met his wife, Hahvah. Their relationship was dramatic—Hahvah was Li Yong's classmate, coming from Ningxia to study broadcasting at the Communication University of China. Initially, Li Yong was captivated by her good looks and began drawing her every day in class, which eventually brought them closer together.

俩人就这样一起学习，一起努力，大学毕业还同时考进了中央电视台并走入婚姻的殿堂。因为俩人专业的悬殊，哈文做的一直都是幕后的工作，而李咏渐渐地成为了家喻户晓的幽默主持人。

They studied and worked hard together, eventually both joining CCTV and getting married. Due to their differing professions, Hahvah worked behind the scenes while Li Yong became a well-known and humorous host.

李咏自曝与哈文结婚后一直想当“丁克家族”，后来妻子哈文突然想要孩子，没过多久便怀孕了。2002年5月20日，李咏与哈文的女儿法图麦·李出生。

Li Yong revealed that after marrying Hahvah, he had always wanted a "DINK family" (Double Income, No Kids). However, Hahvah suddenly wanted a child, and soon after, she became pregnant. On May 20, 2002, their daughter, Fatumai Li, was born.

原本以为日子就这样平平淡淡的过下去。 但是天有不测风云，就在这个时候，李咏在体检中查出了癌症。

这个消息对于他们一家来说，就像一道重重的雷狠狠的劈在这个家庭的头上。李咏在北京治了一年多，并没有什么好转，李咏觉得自己命不久矣，最后的愿望就是想和女儿生活一段时间。
