Who We Are:

Split Works is one of Asia’s biggest independent music companies, founded in 2006 and with offices and people across the region. Split Works is promoter, festival owner, booking agency, label and media resource and works with artists from the region and the West. Split Works is dedicated to a sustainable and inclusive music industry.

Responsibilities:

The core element of this role is to develop revenue opportunities for Split Works, particularly opportunities for Split Works Artist Client Roster and / or other artists that can be accessed through our network. Commercial deals to include:

- Tours

- Festivals

- Brand opportunities

- Sync and licensing

- Co-promotion

- Other

Additionally:

- Actively develop Split Works’ other revenue opportunities in China

- Write pitch documents

- Represent Split Works in industry networking events

- Maintain working relationships with existing clients to ensure that they receive exceptional service + identify new sales opportunities.

- Identify prospects, set appointments, make effective qualifying sales calls and manage networks to close new business.

- Build a client list and update (promoters, brands, government etc) our internal CRM.

Identify & pursue key clients and key projects.

- Communicate with the client list through corporate communication strategies

- Travel for projects

Who you are:

The ideal candidate will be

- Someone with 3 or more years of sales experience in the entertainment industry in China.

- Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, and organisational skills

- Fully bilingual (Mandarin and English)

Able to work both independently and as part of a team.

- A highly skilled negotiator who excels at generating leads, building relationships and closing deals.

- Proficiency with sales management software & CRM

- Strong ability to balance persuasion with professionalism.

Remuneration:

- Dependent on experience

Accountability:

- Drive outcomes / deals. Set and own monthly & quarterly sales targets.

- Weekly meetings with Archie Hamilton (Managing Director) and with Ross Miles (Artist Services Director)

·Summary of festivals contacted / responses / opportunities (week prior)

·Number of brand conversations / opportunities (week prior)

·Commercial opportunities analysis / financial feasibility
