Among the myriad flowers, the most eye-catching is Guangzhou's city flower: the Kapok. Whenever it blooms, it resembles burning flames, not only attracting locals to stop and admire but also drawing many tourists and photography enthusiasts specifically to capture its beauty.

广州人对木棉花情有独钟，它的坠落分外的豪气，从树上落下的时候，在空中仍保持原状，一路旋转而下，然后“啪”一声落到地上。树下落英缤纷，花不褪色、不萎靡，很英雄地道别尘世。所以又称英雄花。

The people of Guangzhou have a special fondness for the Kapok. As the city flower, the Kapok falls with extraordinary vigor. When it descends from the tree, it maintains its original shape in the air, spiraling down before landing on the ground with a "pop". Beneath the tree, the fallen petals scatter, the flowers never fade or wither, bravely bidding farewell to the earthly realm. Hence, it is also called the Hero Flower.
