一、元门清溪

RESIDENTIAL DESIGN

These buildings are not just school buildings, they are more like a series of historical witnesses, quietly telling the story of the past. Perhaps, we can use the unique characteristics of these mountain buildings, as well as the intricately designed moving lines, to evoke the memories of those children who used to chase and play here.

The nearby stream gurgled, and the distant mountain peaks scattered the village houses. You can see all this beauty. The turning of the moving line, the hidden shadow at the low level, and the broad access at the high level, make this place an amplifier of body perception.

On the moving line, the transformation of rhythm needs a carefully designed important node. For this reason, we decided to focus on the courtyard surrounding the guest room to ensure its privacy. Specifically, we chose the open space between the two rows of buildings as the core, and through the enclosure of the three buildings, we created a courtyard with a height difference and a sense of surround. The corridor no longer exists in isolation, but becomes part of the courtyard. In order to achieve this, we combined the height difference on the east side to open up an upward step passage. In this way, the corridor is no longer the end, but can be encircled. People can stroll along the stepped passageway and enjoy the beautiful view of the courtyard.

二、室内美学

INTERIOR AESTHETICS

元门民宿13间客房由原有的校舍演进过来。南楼的标准教室尺度设计为带有夹层的客房，窗口面向溪流与古树；北楼西翼的音乐教室设计为三面景观客房，其余办公室和员工宿舍根据面宽进深被设计为一到两开间的标准间。所有客房的阳台或窗口，塑造出不同的景观视野。

Yuanmen Homestay 13 rooms evolved from the original school building. The standard classroom scale of the south building is designed as a mezzanine room with Windows facing the stream and ancient trees; The music classroom in the west wing of the North building is designed as a three-sided landscape guest room, while the rest of the office and staff dormitory are designed as one or two standard rooms according to the width and depth of the face. All rooms have balconies or Windows that create different views of the landscape.
