蜀绣主要指以四川成都为中心的川西平原一带的刺绣，成都水土丰美，气候宜人，温湿度都适宜栽桑养蚕。

Shu Embroidery primarily refers to the embroidery from the Sichuan region, centered around Chengdu in the western Sichuan plain. Chengdu enjoys fertile land, pleasant weather, and suitable conditions for cultivating mulberry trees and raising silkworms.

中国是世界上最早栽桑养蚕的国家，蜀绣源于蚕丝，蚕丝织丝绸，方有在绸缎上作画的蜀绣。这项纯手工技艺已有三千多年的历史。

China was the earliest country to cultivate mulberry trees and raise silkworms, and Shu Embroidery originated from silkworms. It was only when silk was woven from silkworms that Shu Embroidery could be created on silk fabrics. This purely handmade craft has a history of more than 3,000 years.
