今夏，随着广州市优联外籍人员子女学校（以下简称为GUIS）各学部的顺利搬迁，备受瞩目的明珠湾校区已准备就绪，一个实现各学部全面融合、统一管理、资源共享的崭新校园已呈现在大家面前。

GUIS-ULC英式课程学部

G9年级新生率先在澳洲开学

7月底，学校迎来了GUIS–ULC的150余名G9年级新生，这也是第一批萌芽于明珠湾新校园的中学部新生。

结束4天3夜的行前培训后，8月12日，新生们成功抵达在南半球暖冬中的澳大利亚，来到三所合作学校——摩顿湾学院、圣斯蒂芬斯学院、希尔奎斯特学院。他们不仅见到了培训周中相识、相处的校方代表老师，与提前在学校等待的当地住宿家庭成员温馨会面，并在当天正式开始在澳洲学校的第一课，由此开启了为期四周的海外学习生活。

澳洲课堂

澳洲海外学习项目在GUIS-ULC已经成功开展快十年了，旨在让新生亲身体验海外全英文环境的学习与生活，提高英语应用能力，适应下一阶段在学校的全英文学习。学习项目期间，ULinkers与当地的寄宿家庭同吃同住，在校时根据学校日程表全天上课。即除了独立的进阶式英语课堂外，分批嵌入当地学生的班级一起上课，学习人文、艺术、语言和体育等课程。

课余时间，G9年级新生还会在老师陪同下参与到野营、城市风光和自然景观的观赏等短途旅行中，沉浸式体验文化差异，进而拓展国际视野，为将来的留学生涯打下坚实的基础。

GUIS-NCPA美式课程学部

全体学生已返校，全面解锁新校园

各学部的校历安排有所不同。上周日（8月11日），学校迎来了GUIS-NCPA全体学生的开学报到日。新生们与返校生们充盈在校园各个角落，新学年与新生活也由此正式启程！

第一周，学校为新生们开展迎新活动。同学们通过早班会课（Advisory）认识新校园，在课堂上与老师互相熟悉，了解课程大纲和单元计划、评估标准、学习系统软件使用等。与此同时，本周课后的学长学姐志愿者小组活动、学习《家长学生手册》、团建等安排，则引导着新生们以轻松愉悦的状态融入新校园生活当中！

学校特意在本周安排了新生集会、新学年第一场全校集会。借此，NCPAers全面认识学科老师和校内学生领导力组织。本周即将到来的校园开放日活动，则将让家长们与孩子一起感受课堂，会见每一位任课老师，更好地了解和参与到孩子的教育进展。

学校十分期待所有NCPAers都能感受到来自社区大家庭的有力支持，开启一段充满探索与成长的旅程。

GUIS幼小部

提前做好开学准备，让孩子快乐启航

2023年9月，GUIS幼儿园成功开园办学。今年6月，学校已诞生第一批毕业班小朋友，并升读小学部一年级，成为萌芽于明珠湾校园的第一批GUIS小学新生。这一里程碑标志着已真正凝聚出团结、高效团队的幼小部正迈向更广阔的教育天地。

新学年如期而至，幼小部开学第一周在8月12日成功开启。校园幼小区再次热闹起来，新同学忙于结识新伙伴，返校生则忙着和朋友相聚并认识新朋友。大家聚在一起分享暑假的有趣经历，有同学还表示，比起假期，他们更加欣喜回到学校！在老师们策划的“欢迎回校”活动中，看到了学生积极参与、融入校园的许多瞬间，期待着在新学年规划更多妙趣横生的学习体验！

孩子们的闪光未来，离不开家长和学校的共同托举。本周三上午，迎来了GUIS幼小部新生家长见面会。幼小部两位校长与家长们分享了一些重要的学校政策和信息，帮助新生家庭做好入学前的过渡，了解如何参与到孩子在GUIS的成长过程。

幼小部的开学，是GUIS带着成功开园办学经验奋进新学年的开端；对父母来说，是又一次学习放手的体验；对学生而言，则是一次可贵的自我锻炼机会。大家都对学校的未来充满了憧憬与期待！

领导师资团队新纪元

已踏上新纪元！

今年是优联教育办学的第20周年，也是GUIS各学部全面融合之年，迎来了“GUIS，一体一家”的重要时刻，由此开启了在粤港澳大湾区构建领先的K-12一贯制国际教育体系的崭新篇章。回顾学校过往20年的管理和教学，那些富有意义、可持续且能够付诸实践的创新，无一不是以团队合作为依托。

在延续已有师资、管理团队和课程体系的前提下，学校形成了以原ULC剑桥国际高中、NCPA美式中学的创校领导，英国第一私校圣保罗女子学校的前副校长，英语及双语言浸入式实验学校的创立人，以及美国西部院校协会（WASC）认证专员及培训师等教育领域资深专家为学校核心管理团队。

合力营造充满安全的培育环境

8月上旬，GUIS各学部迎来了新教师，并陆续展开了全体教职工返校培训、新学年部署等工作，确保各运营部门和教学团队都能以最佳状态迎接新学年。各个学科部门的教师们相聚一堂，明确了新学年的学科目标、教学要求、对多语言学习者的支持等，为学生的学业进步提供高水平的教学保障。

每个踏进GUIS的新教师都感受到沉甸甸的信任和应该承担的责任，一直重视学生们的身心健康成长，并在开学准备中展开相应工作。上周，GUIS-NCPA社交情感导师们为负责班会课（Advisory）的教师们进行了培训，意在让教师们明白班会课的意义，带领教师们学习青少年的心理关注学生们的心理健康。在本周三GUIS-ULC的未成年人保护培训中，所有ULC员工签署了《校园安全行为守则》，从预防、识别、行动等方面建立起完善且严格的安全；由学校成长导师带来关注学生心理健康的培训，中间穿插真实场景和实用方法，引导老师们去思考在日常教学中如何更好地支持学生。

GUIS完善且严格的安全保护系统，正是源于所有社区人员一项项支持学生安全成长的细致行动中。因此，GUIS人得以在一个充满安全的培育环境中包纳多元化，鼓励与支持每一位求知者不断探索、创新与追求卓越！

校园环境净化与

安全守护

为了迎接新学年的到来，学校携手卓熠服务启动“GUIS校园清新行动”，在暑期开展了一系列全面而细致的校园空气净化行动，致力于为学生们打造一个安全、健康、清新的学习和生活环境。

在学校的邀请下，奥因环保的专业团队携带先进的空气净化设备，对GUIS校园的每一个角落进行了深入而全面的净化处理。从教室到美术室、音乐室，从咖啡厅到公共区域，从教师办公区到宿舍区域，无一遗漏。环保团队采用专业光触媒套装，对空气进行全覆盖式的净化，有效去除空气中的有害物质，让校园的每一个角落都焕发出清新活力。

为了进一步提升校园空气质量，卓熠服务团队还实施了强力通风措施。他们使用强力风扇和空气净化器提升空气清新度，运用活性炭包吸附空气杂质并定期更换，还通过天然植物清新喷雾营造舒适宜人的氛围……

为了确保校园空气质量的持续达标，权威机构大迈检测在暑期对GUIS校园内各个室内空间进行了全面、专业的空气质量检测。检测团队使用先进的空气检测设备，对各项指标进行了严格检测，并确保了所有检测结果均符合相关标准。

这些举措共同构成了GUIS校园独特的清新“净”界，是爱与责任的坚守。

开学前，卓熠服务为返校学生打造了一个安全、舒适、干净的校园环境。

新学年，新起点，新征程。GUIS在各方的支持与努力下，已然迈出了坚实的步伐。从2004年到2024年，从华师校区到英东校区，再到明珠湾校区，学校历经变迁，成功培养出逾3000名优秀毕业生。不变的是，GUIS坚持以学生为中心，不断探索创新，践行全人教育的理念，致力于为学生提供优质的国际教育！

A Fantastic Start to a New School Year

GUIS-ULC

In July, GUIS ULC welcomed their first cohort of Grade 9 freshman students. These are the first middle school students of our new campus.

They arrived on campus to participate in an orientation program in preparation for their English Immersion Program in Australia. After 4 days of training, they eagerly boarded their flights, took the sky and landed in Australia.

This program has been successfully completed by hundreds of students over the past 10 years at ULC. While in Australia, students have the opportunity to be immersed in a native English-speaking environment, while absorbing the local culture. Students attend classes at Moreton Bay College, St. Stephens College, and Hillcrest College. They live with local families while studying abroad.

Outside of class time, they participate in camping, hiking, and outdoor adventures. This experience provides them with the opportunities to expand their perceptive and continue to lay sold foundation for future successes.

NCPA welcome new and returning teachers for orientation prior to the exciting launch of GUIS Middle school. As students arrived, there was lots of excitement as they got to know their new dormitories, roommates, and fellow students.

Throughout the first week of school, students familiarized themselves with their new school campus, got to know their teachers and learnt about their upcoming studies and courses.

AS GUIS Preschool and Lower Elementary celebrate the end of their first teaching week, reflect on this milestone. A milestone that marks the beginning of an exciting journey, one that embodies our school's mission to embrace diversity, nurture innovation, and foster excellence.

Throughout the week, a sense of warmth and security was offered by all teachers and staff to our new and returning students. It is emotional time for children when beginning school and for parents waving them off on their new journey. But it is also an exciting time, a time to celebrate the growing independence that our students show and a time to celebrate the start of their new school year and learning journey.

As the week continued, our new students were busy getting to know their new classmates and teachers, and our returning students were busy catching up with friends and making new friends. Our students shared stories of the fun and adventures they had over the summer holidays, and some even shared that they are more excited to be back in school than on holidays! Teachers planned very inviting “Welcome back to School” activities, and it was lovely to see the students engaged, enthusiastic and eager to participate. The foundations for a successful year have truly been laid.

The Leadership Team of GUIS

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the ULink Education Group and usher the important moment – ‘GUIS, One School’. It is building a leading K-12 international education system in the Great Bay Area. The success of ULink lies with the people who collaborate and effectively work as a team with a shared mission and vision.

In continuing to provide high quality teaching and learning, ongoing teacher training and continuous curriculum improvements, it is proud to introduce our senior leadership team. The leadership team has a vast and diverse range of experience and backgrounds that include the former deputy head of St. Paul's Girls' School, accreditation officers and trainers from WASC, and other esteemed educators, all of whom are senior experts in education.

The Teaching Team of GUIS

In early August, GUIS-NCPA, GUIS-ULC and GUIS KG & ES welcomed returning and new teachers to the Mingzhu Bay campus. Teachers embarked on an orientation program where they not only familiarized themselves with the new campus, they also revisited the mission and vision of our school and ensured that their teaching and learning and the opportunities they provide to students pave the pathway for purposeful lives. Teachers collaborated and planned together to ensure a smooth induction week for all students, laying the foundation for a successful year both academically and non-academically.

Partnering with Sunglint, our facilities management company, GUIS carried out many tests and audits to ensure the quality of air on campus is above expectations.

In collaboration with Aoyin Environmental Agency, GUIS conducted numerous stringent assessments on all areas of our campus. They installed a strong ventilation systems utilizing the most up to date technology ensuring the air quality is of the highest standard.

A secondary layer of quality control was carried out by Damai Testing. This testing team used advanced methods to test various indications and ensure that all our test results were correct and accurate.

A new school year, a new starting point, a new journey. With the support and efforts from all our community, GUIS has taken firm steps forward. From 2004 to now, with moves from the campus of South China Normal University to the Ying Tung campus, and now to the Mingzhu Bay campus, the school has undergone transformations, successfully nurtured over 3,000 outstanding graduates. What remains unchanged is our unwavering commitment to student-centered education, continuous exploration and innovation, and the realization of holistic education, dedicated to providing students with high-quality international education!

GUIS firmly believes that with the joint efforts of all teachers and students, and the support of our entire community, at GUIS, every student can find their own pathway. A pathway to infinite possibilities. All students can grow develop and learn, and fulfill their dreams!
