After school, Lily, Max, and Sophie snuck back into the building. The hallways were eerily quiet without the usual chatter of students and teachers. The three friends tiptoed toward Room 207, their hearts pounding in their chests.

As they approached the door, Max hesitated. “Maybe we should turn back. What if something really is wrong with this room?”

Lily shook her head. “We’ve come this far. Don’t chicken out now.”

Sophie nodded, though her face was pale. “Let’s just take a quick look. If we see anything weird, we can leave.”

They stood in front of the door, and with a deep breath, Lily slowly pushed it open. The room was dark, and the faint scent of dust hung in the air. Sunlight barely filtered through the blinds, casting long shadows across the floor.

The three friends stepped inside cautiously, their footsteps echoing in the empty room. It looked like any ordinary classroom, with desks neatly arranged and a chalkboard at the front. But there was something about the atmosphere that felt... off.

Max walked over to the windows and peeked outside. “See? There’s nothing—”

Suddenly, the door slammed shut behind them with a loud bang, making them all jump.

“What was that?!” Sophie gasped, her voice trembling.

Lily rushed to the door, pulling the handle, but it wouldn’t budge. “It’s locked!”

Max looked around frantically. “This isn’t funny, Lily. Did you plan this?”

“No! I swear, I didn’t!” Lily replied, her hands still gripping the door handle.

The three friends were now trapped in Room 207.
