Record-breaking! WND biomedical industrial park competitiveness ranks 18th nationwide

The 2024 China Biomedical Industrial Park Competitiveness Evaluation and Analysis Report was recently released, revealing WND’s record-breaking 18th spot on the national competitiveness ranking list.

In 2023, WND’s biomedical industry continued to lead the charge in Wuxi, with its industrial scale exceeding 100 billion yuan ($14.09 billion) for the first time, representing 52.3% of the city’s total.

《2024中国生物医药产业园区竞争力评价及分析报告》近日发布。报告显示，无锡高新区刷新历史最佳成绩，成功跻身国家生物医药产业园区综合竞争力排名第18位。2023年，无锡高新区生物医药产业规模首次超千亿元，占全市生物医药产业总规模的52.3%，继续领跑全市。

我市在沪举办世界500强企业合作交流会

The Wuxi (Shanghai) Fortune 500 Cooperation and Exchange Conference was held in Shanghai on Nov 4, with nearly 50 senior executives from Fortune 500 companies, industry leaders and world renowned institutions participating.

Agreements for two projects from WND were signed at the event. The Fortune 500 company Bridgestone’s new energy vehicle tire project aligns with its investment increase plans for the Wuxi branch, bringing in new technologies to boost the local supply capabilities of the high-end and high value-added passenger tires.

Meanwhile, the China production base project for Vibracoustic air springs aims to establish the company’s global air spring headquarters in China by bringing its core air spring project to the region.

11月4日，无锡（上海）世界500强企业合作交流会在上海成功举办，近50位世界500强、行业龙头企业和国际知名机构的高管相聚一堂，交流畅谈。

交流会现场，无锡高新区两个项目进行签约。其中，普利司通新能源汽车轮胎项目是世界500强普利司通集团将在无锡公司增加投资导入一系列新技术新工艺，提升普利司通无锡高端和高附加值乘用车轮胎的供应能力；科德宝-威巴克空气弹簧中国生产基地项目将把集团最核心的空气弹簧项目引入中国，打造威巴克全球空气弹簧总部基地。

WND strengthens China-EU cooperation for a brighter future

On Nov 4, a delegation from WND visited Obuda University in Hungary, signing a memorandum of cooperation and establishing the China-Hungary Torch Innovation Center, ushering in a new era of collaboration in science, technology, talent and industry.

WND and Hungary have a strong history of economic and trade cooperation. In 2023, three WND enterprises invested in Hungary, with Lead Intelligent Equipment contributing $21.4 million. In November, 2023, a China-EU industrial innovation zone was launched, with many European industrial projects signing contracts totaling nearly 2 billion euros ($2.15 billion) in investment.

11月4日，无锡高新区代表团访问匈牙利欧布达大学，签署合作备忘录并设立“中匈火炬创新中心”，开启双方在科技、人才及产业领域合作新篇章。无锡高新区与匈牙利经贸合作也一向紧密，2023年，有3家无锡高新区企业投资匈牙利，其中先导智能在匈牙利总投资额达到2140万美元。同年11月，中欧产业创新区正式启动建设，一批欧洲产业项目集中签约，总投资额近20亿欧元。

WND enterprises shine at 7th CIIE

The curtain was raised on the 7th China International Import Expo, where WND made its mark with nearly 100 registered exhibitors and over 500 registrants, focusing on technological equipment, automotive, medical devices, medical care, and food for special medical purpose. Key exhibitors with investments in WND have set up 25 booths at the CIIE and are expected to generate intended transactions worth $425 million.

11月5日，第七届中国国际进口博览会正式开幕。此次进博会，无锡高新区报名参展注册单位近百家，注册观众数逾500人，参展单位主要涵盖技术装备、汽车、医疗器械及医药保健、特医食品等多个领域。其中，在我区有投资的重点参展商展位25个，采购成交意向额预计达4.25亿美元。
