东北虎，又称西伯利亚虎，是世界上最大的猫科动物之一，主要栖息于中国东北部及俄罗斯远东地区。幼年时期的东北虎，毛色鲜艳，圆滚滚的身体配上大大的眼睛，确实令人觉得十分可爱；但随着它们的成长，这种温顺的形象将被强大的猎食本能所取代。成年东北虎身长可达3米以上，重约200至300公斤，肌肉发达，行动敏捷，成为顶级捕食者之一。
