One day Charley had

a wobbly tooth.

He was a little frightened,

but Maisy said he should

go to see Dr. Biteright,

the dentist.

“He’s ever so nice,”

Maisy said.

有一天

查理的牙齿开始摇晃。

他有点害怕，

但波波告诉他

你应该去看牙医了。

“他很好的。”

波波说。

Everyone went with Charley.

There was lots to do

in the waiting room.

Charley was beginning to

think having a wobble tooth was OK.

每个人都陪着查理一起去了。

在候诊室里

有很多事情要做。

查理忽然觉得

牙齿的摇晃

好像 也没那么严重了。

Dr. Biteright was really nice,

just as Maisy had said.

He showed Charley

his special dentist’s chair.

正如波波所说，

Biteright医生真的很好。

他还给查理看了他很特别的

牙医椅子。

It went up...

down...

round and round...

and right back like a bed.

Charley had to open his mouth

as wide as he could...

椅子上升…

下降…

接着一圈又一圈…

然后还可以变成一张“床”。

查理需要尽可能张大嘴巴…

so Dr. Biteright could

look inside.

“My, Charley,

what a lot of teeth you have!”

But what good teeth.

这样牙医才可以看到里面。

“天哪，查理，

你的牙齿可真多！”

但牙齿也真的很好。

Dr. Biteright said

Charley shouldn’t worry.

The wobbly tooth

was a baby tooth,

ready to fall out.

A new one

would grow in its place.

牙医还告诉查理

不用担心。

那颗摇晃的牙齿是乳牙，

随时可能会脱落。

之后会有一个新的牙齿

长在它的位置上。

Then Nurse Sparkle

took an x-ray photo

of Chatley’s teeth.

Smile, Chatley!

然后

Sparkle护士给查理的牙齿

拍了X光片。

笑一笑，

查理！

And Charley and

Maisy learned

how to brush their teeth

– up and down,

front and back.

Front, back...

up, down.

查理和波波

都学会了如何刷牙

——先上下，

再前后。

前，后，

上，下。

Then Charley had to rinse

and spit the mouthwash...

and rinse

and spit again...

然后查理必须冲洗漱口

并吐出漱口水…

接着再冲洗漱口…

until his teeth

were dazzling!

Dr. Biteright gave Charley

a smiley badge

and a book about teeth...

直到他的牙齿变得

光亮无比！

牙医还给了查理一个笑脸的徽章

和一本关于牙齿的书…

and Charley

wibbled his wobbly tooth

all the way home.

查理一路摇晃着 他摇晃的牙齿

回了家。

At bedtime,

Charley brushed his teeth

very carefully...

up, down,

front and back

then...

POP!

Out came

the wibbly-wobbly tooth.

睡觉前，

查理非常小心地刷牙……

上、下、前、后……

啪！

那颗摇摇晃晃的牙齿

掉了出来。

So Charley wrapped it in tissue,

tucked it under his pillow,

and waited...

for the Tooth Fairy to come!

于是查理用纸巾

把它包起来，

塞在枕头下，

等待着……

等待着牙仙子的到来！
