On January 9, 2025, a 6.8-magnitude earthquake struck Dingri County, Shigatse, Rescue workers acted quickly to provide resettlement and lighting for the affected people. At present, a total of 224 resettlement sites have been set up to ensure that the people affected by the disaster will stay warm through the winter. Meanwhile, forest firefighting forces are also actively carrying out rescue and assistance work.
