7日，老挝能矿部部长坡赛会见方虹大使，表示老方打击跨国电诈犯罪的坚定决心从未改变。老已对向缅甸大其力地区供电采取限流举措，绝不允许老方供电用于支持民生以外的任何活动，特别是电诈等犯罪行为。下步将继续与有关国家密切配合，视情采取进一步措施。

Laos has implemented measures to restrict the supply of electricity to the Tachileik region in Myanmar, said Lao Minister of Energy and Mines Phoxay Sayasone during a meeting with Chinese Ambassador to Laos Fang Hong on Friday. Sayasone emphasized that Laos will not allow its electricity to be used for activities other than civilian purposes, particularly criminal activities like telecommunications fraud.

方虹大使表示，打击跨国电诈犯罪符合地区国家共同利益，中方将继续加强与老挝等国执法安全合作，采取坚决有力措施，共同维护人民生命财产安全。

Combating transnational telecommunications fraud is in the common interest of regional countries, said Fang. China will continue to enhance law enforcement and security cooperation with Laos and other countries, taking resolute and effective measures to jointly safeguard people's lives and property, Fang added.

5日，泰国地方电力局对泰缅边境缅甸一侧切断电力供应。随后，缅甸大其力地区求助老挝为其供电。

On Wednesday, Thailand cut off power supply to the Myanmar side of the Thai-Myanmar border. Subsequently, the Tachileik region in Myanmar sought assistance from Laos for electricity supply.
