NASA and SpaceX are accelerating the target launch and return dates for the upcoming crew rotation missions to and from the International Space Station (ISS), which will bring the agency's two stranded astronauts back home. The agency's Crew-10 launch now is targeting March 12, pending mission readiness and completion of the agency's certification of flight readiness process, NASA said on Tuesday.

During Starliner's approach to the orbiting laboratory, NASA and Boeing identified helium leaks and faced issues with the spacecraft's reaction control thrusters. Initially, the astronaut duo was scheduled to stay at the ISS for eight days. Boeing's Starliner spacecraft landed at the US state of New Mexico after an approximately six-hour journey from the ISS. No astronauts were on board, as two astronauts were forced to remain in space until 2025 due to a technical malfunction.

A photo of Williams from September, showing her looking notably gaunt, raised alarm about her weight. Williams has addressed growing concerns about her health. She said that she had been eating Turkish fish stew with olives and rice.

"I think things shift around quite a bit," Williams explained during a live broadcast from the ISS. "You've probably heard of fluid shifts." "Folks in space you know, their heads look a little bit bigger because the fluid evens out along the body," she added saying that even though she looks thinner, she has actually increased her body size.

According to a study released by NASA in 2014, female astronauts are more susceptible to the effects of the space environment than their male counterparts, facing increased health risks that could negatively impact their well-being. The study found that if female astronauts do not increase their food intake accordingly in space, they experience rapid weight loss as their bodies compensate for the calorie deficit.
