立夏是夏季的第一个节气，此时春天已接近尾声，酷热的夏季还未来临。南宋诗人杨万里在《小池》中这样描写立夏：泉眼无声惜细流，树阴照水爱晴柔。小荷才露尖尖角，早有蜻蜓立上头。迎着初夏的晚风，夕阳正美，可缓缓归矣。

At the first solar term of summer, spring bows out , yet warmth delays its call. When greens outshine the fading red, seeds of spring swiftly grow. Song Dynasty (960-1279) poet Yang Wanli wrote in his poem The Little Pond: The little lotus bloom has just shown its tip slight; When all at once you see a dragonfly alight. Borne on the gentle summer eve’s sigh, as the setting sun lingers, watch twilight fade like a lullaby.
