In Lodz, Poland, on a narrow plot of land only 22 meters wide, a unique residence was born - RE: LONG HOUSE. This project, designed by architect Marcin Tomaszewski for the REFORM ARCHITEKT studio, was recognized in the innovative architecture category of the 2020 ICONIC AWARDS international competition, standing out in the field of architecture for its unique design.

在波兰罗兹，一块仅 22 米宽的狭长地块上，诞生了一座独具魅力的住宅 ——RE: LONG HOUSE。这座由 Marcin Tomaszewski 建筑师为 REFORM ARCHITEKT 工作室打造的项目，在 2020 年 ICONIC AWARDS 国际竞赛中荣获创新建筑类别的认可，以其独特的设计在建筑领域脱颖而出。

From the perspective of the project’s site selection and planning, the 2,500 square meter plot is not small, but the 22-meter width limit poses a challenge to the design. In addition, there are several trees on the plot that need to be preserved, some of which are located close to the only entrance to the plot. Under these restrictions, Architect Tomaszewski cleverly conceived and designed a rectangular house that fully utilizes the plot space while avoiding interference with the surrounding natural environment, achieving a harmonious coexistence between architecture and nature.

从项目的选址和规划来看，2500 平方米的地块虽然面积不算小，但 22 米的宽度限制为设计带来了挑战。此外，地块上还有几棵需要保留的树木，其中部分树木的位置紧邻地块唯一的入口。在这些限制条件下，Tomaszewski 建筑师巧妙构思，设计出一座长方形的住宅，既充分利用了地块空间，又避免对周边自然环境造成干扰，实现了建筑与自然的和谐共生。

In terms of outdoor decoration design, RE: LONG HOUSE presents a simple and geometric modern style. The main body of the building is composed of multiple geometric blocks, which create a unique dynamic beauty through the staggered arrangement of the blocks. The black powder-coated steel troughs as the building's detailed decoration not only echo the owner's requirements for a modernist appearance, but also add a sense of toughness and refinement to the building. White and graphite plaster and stone from Grassi Pietre together constitute the building's facade. The combination of different materials forms a sharp contrast in color and texture, allowing the building to show rich layers in simplicity.

在室外装饰设计上，RE: LONG HOUSE 展现出简洁而富有几何感的现代风格。建筑主体由多个几何形状的体块组成，通过体块之间的错落有致，营造出独特的动态美感。黑色粉末涂层钢槽作为建筑的细节装饰，不仅呼应了业主对现代主义外观的要求，还为建筑增添了一份硬朗与精致。白色和石墨色的抹灰以及来自 Grassi Pietre 的石材，共同构成了建筑的外立面，不同材质的搭配在色彩和质感上形成鲜明对比，让建筑在简洁中彰显出丰富的层次。

The front of the building is designed as a sculpture. Except for the entrance door, there are no windows in this part, which makes the front of the building more integrated and sculptural. The windows are cleverly set on the west and south sides of the building. This layout not only ensures sufficient indoor lighting, but also allows residents to enjoy the outdoor scenery in different directions. At the same time, the design of the windows is integrated with the overall geometric form of the building and becomes part of the building's appearance.

建筑的前部被当作一件雕塑来设计，除了入口门，这部分没有设计窗户，使得建筑正面更具整体感和雕塑感。而窗户则被巧妙地设置在建筑的西侧和南侧，这样的布局既保证了室内充足的采光，又能让住户欣赏到不同方向的室外景色。同时，窗户的设计也与建筑整体的几何形态相融合，成为建筑外观的一部分。

Stepping into the room, RE: LONG HOUSE continues the modern and simple style. The interior space is dominated by white and gray wooden elements, creating a warm and comfortable atmosphere. Among them, the staircase from Spain is particularly eye-catching. The staircase board is only 5 cm thick, the cantilever design is 150 cm, and the titanium pins inside make it the visual focus of the room. Such a unique staircase design not only saves space, but also shows exquisite craftsmanship and modern shape, adding an artistic atmosphere to the entire interior space.

步入室内，RE: LONG HOUSE 延续了现代简约的风格。室内空间以白色和灰色的木质元素为主，营造出温馨而舒适的氛围。其中，来自西班牙的楼梯格外引人注目，仅 5 厘米厚的楼梯板，150 厘米的悬挑设计，以及内部的钛制销钉，使其成为室内的视觉焦点。这样独特的楼梯设计不仅节省了空间，还展现出精湛的工艺和现代感十足的造型，为整个室内空间增添了一份艺术气息。

The house is also equipped with a double garage, which completes the functionality of the house. In terms of room layout, full consideration is given to living comfort and space rationality. Each functional area is clearly divided and interconnected, allowing residents to move freely and smoothly in their daily lives.

住宅还配备了一个双车位车库，完善了住宅的功能。在房间布局上，充分考虑了居住的舒适性和空间的合理性，各个功能区域划分明确又相互连通，让住户在日常生活中能够自由流畅地活动。

The interior and exterior decoration design of LONG HOUSE is a successful exploration of modern architectural aesthetics based on the restrictions of the plot and the needs of the owner. It creates a modern residence that not only meets the living function but also has artistic appeal through simple geometric forms, carefully selected materials and unique detail design, providing an excellent example for architectural design on narrow plots.

LONG HOUSE 的室内外装饰装修设计，是在应对地块限制和满足业主需求的基础上，对现代建筑美学的一次成功探索。它通过简洁的几何形式、精心挑选的材质以及独特的细节设计，打造出一个既满足居住功能，又富有艺术感染力的现代住宅，为狭长地块的建筑设计提供了优秀的范例。
