印度航空公司12日发表声明说，该公司一架飞往英国的客机当天发生事故，目前正在确认相关信息。

声明说：“今天（2025年6月12日），执飞从（印度古吉拉特邦）艾哈迈达巴德机场飞往伦敦盖特威克机场的AI171航班发生事故。目前，我们正在确认详细信息。”

印度亚洲新闻国际通讯社援引警方消息报道说，机上载有242名乘客。

另据印度媒体报道，客机型号为波音787，坠毁在古吉拉特邦一个居民区附近，伤亡情况不明。目前，通往该居民区的所有道路均已关闭。

An Air India Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft crashed shortly after takeoff from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad.

The aircraft, bound for London, plunged into the Meghani area of the city, sending up a massive plume of black smoke and triggering an immediate emergency response.

There were 242 people on board the aircraft — 230 passengers, 2 pilots, and 10 cabin crewmembers.
