在油车时代，丰田确实很会造车，它以低油耗和高耐用性著称，几乎每年的全球销量都位列第一，哪怕到了电车时代，丰田的全球销量也一直遥遥领先。尽管丰田油车卖得好，可它的电车却一言难尽，在国内市场既打不过传统车企，又打不过造车新势力，而且在技术方面也严重依赖比亚迪，在油车时代领先的丰田，到了电车时代难道真的不行了吗？难道丰田只会造油车吗？

面对这些质疑，一汽丰田甩出了bZ5，该车售价12.98-19.98万元，定位纯电动中型SUV。

丰田bZ5在技术上依然依靠比亚迪，比如它的永磁/同步电机是弗迪提供的，磷酸铁锂电池也是弗迪提供的，电控依然是弗迪提供的，也就是说，它的“三电系统”都和比亚迪脱不了关系。如果说油车的“三大件”是发动机、变速箱和底盘，那么电车的“三大件”就是电池、电机和电控了，丰田bZ5的“三大件”都不掌握在自己手中，这么来看的话，这款车自带“中国血脉”。问题是它的价格比比亚迪的同级SUV还要更低一些，显得很有性价比。

尺寸方面，丰田bZ5的长宽高分别为4780*1866*1510mm，轴距为2880mm，在同级车型中的尺寸不大不小，而且它采用了跨界的轿跑风格，外观设计十分个性。

动力方面，该车的电动机的最大功率为272马力，峰值扭矩为330牛·米，动力输出还是很充沛的。该车配备了65.28kWh和73.98kWh的磷酸铁锂电池，CLTC纯电续航里程分别为550km和630km。电池组支持快充模式，最快27分钟就能完成快充。

底盘悬架，前麦弗逊+后多连杆，悬架结构中规中矩。

内饰方面，该车配备了5英寸液晶仪表盘和15.6英寸中控屏幕，车机系统支持高德地图、双区域语音识别控制、面部识别、手机APP远程功能、车联网和OTA升级等，功能还算丰富。

前排地台上，可以看到旋钮式换挡机构和50W手机无线充电面板，显得很有科技感。

值得一提的是，该车搭载了Momenta 5.0智能驾驶辅助，采用了激光雷达+摄像头的融合智驾方案，支持城市道路和高速道路的智能领航功能和自动泊车功能。这个价位的车型能够提供高阶智驾系统，确实是个加分项。

空间和座椅方面，该车的后排空间十分宽敞，坐在后排座椅上可以轻松翘起二郎腿，空间体量感很不错，再加上它的后排地板纯平和座椅内部填充厚实，可以带来很舒适的乘坐体验。不过有一点需要改进，那就是它的后排靠背角度偏直，而且无法调节，久坐并不放松。

至于后备箱，常规容积为463L，还可以放倒后排座椅来拓展空间。
