The Sanmenxia Hydroelectric Project has increased its discharge flow to 2,800 cubic meters per second to support the 2025 Yellow River water and sediment regulation, creating a high-flow process to scour sediment deposits in the river channel and assist the Xiaolangdi Reservoir in flushing out sand.
