Spring Airlines has refuted online claims regarding an alleged in-flight incident involving Flight 9C7760. A video taken by an onboard passenger that circulated on social media on Tuesday allegedly shows the aircraft "suddenly plummeting" when "something broke" mid-air after taking off from Lanzhou to Shanghai.

7月15日，9C7760因流量控制原因，推迟至20:50从兰州飞往上海虹桥。在飞机滑行阶段发生临时机械故障，机组按照程序及时处置，将飞机滑回候机楼，安排旅客下机。在处置过程中，飞机一直在地面，并未如报道所说起飞“离地”，更没有如报道中所说“直接砸下来”，该报道与事实完全不符。

In an official statement released on Thursday via its Weibo account, the airline confirmed that Flight 9C7760, delayed until 8:50 pm due to air traffic control, experienced a minor mechanical issue during taxiing. The crew followed standard procedures to return the aircraft to the terminal, where passengers disembarked. Spring Airlines emphasized that the aircraft remained on the ground throughout the incident and never became airborne, directly contradicting claims of a "plummeting" descent.

春秋航空第一时间更换了飞机，该航班于当天22:45起飞，已将旅客安全送达目的地。春秋航空始终秉承安全至上原则，为保障航班和所有旅客的飞行安全，绝不带任何隐患上天。由此带来的航班延误，我们深表歉意，感谢所有旅客的理解和支持。

The carrier promptly arranged a replacement aircraft, with the flight departing at 10:45 pm and safely transporting all passengers to Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport.
