On Monday, coast guard and maritime police vessels in Istanbul were searching for a Russian swimmer who went missing during a cross-Bosphorus race a day earlier.

据俄媒消息报报道，俄罗斯国家公开水域游泳队前主教练、运动健将阿列克谢·阿卡季耶夫分析称，斯韦奇尼科夫可能在比赛中与其他选手发生意外碰撞，或突发身体状况而失踪。

According to Russian media, a former national open-water swimming coach suggested that Svechnikov may have disappeared after an accidental collision with other competitors or due to a sudden health issue during the race.

阿卡季耶夫指出，大型赛事往往存在风险，尤其是大量选手同时下水，极易发生水上事故或非故意碰撞。“相邻的运动员可能无意中触及了他的某个痛觉部位，也不排除他在水下遭遇撞击。公开水域游泳本身风险较高，虽然博斯普鲁斯海域水温总体较暖，但局部区域仍可能存在寒流。”

阿卡季耶夫还提到运动员个人状态的因素：“他可能准备不足，或在比赛中过于疲劳。毕竟他已不再是十几岁的年轻小伙，身体健康状况或许出了问题。”此前也有媒体推测，斯韦奇尼科夫可能因腿部抽筋被水流卷走。

The coach noted that mass-start events carry the risk of unintentional contact and that open-water conditions — including the possibility of cold currents — can be dangerous. He also pointed to the swimmer's own conditions, saying Svechnikov may have been underprepared, fatigued, or suffered a cramp that left him vulnerable to the current.

据今日俄罗斯报道，“博斯普鲁斯2025”海峡跨洲游泳赛由土耳其国家奥林匹克委员会主办，于当地时间8月24日上午10时至下午2时举行。今年，共有来自81个国家的运动员参赛。然而，直到当晚22时，主办方才发现一名参赛者下落不明。

报道称，斯韦奇尼科夫参赛号码为2554号。比赛当天早晨，他曾接受医生检查，未发现任何健康问题。目前，警方和医院均已接到失踪通报，海岸警卫队正展开搜寻。

More than 2,800 swimmers from 81 countries took part in Sunday's competition, which is considered one of the world's leading open-water races.

Russia's consulate general in Istanbul said the consulate is in contact with the Turkish authorities about Svechnikov's disappearance. The organizer of the swimming event, the Turkish Olympic Committee, said it is working with the police and coast guard to help find the Russian swimmer.
