2005年以来，中国在全球重要农业文化遗产保护方面进行了全方位探索，并取得了显著成效，为国际农业文化遗产保护贡献了“中国智慧”和“中国方案”。2024年5月起，《农民日报》记者深入一线采访，并陆续在《农民日报》“农业文化遗产”版“保护典范”栏目中刊发系列文章。本书所选的15篇文章，分别介绍了13项全球重要农业文化遗产地在保护与发展方面所进行的探索及取得的成效，并辅以当地人撰写的“农遗故事”和以图片形式报道的有关活动，可使读者从中了解基层管理部门和企业、合作社、农户在全球重要农业文化遗产保护与发展方面的努力及主要经验。

Since 2005, China has conducted all-round exploration in the conservation and development of the Globally Important Agricultural Heritage Systems (GIAHS) and achieved remarkable results, contributing "Chinese Wisdom" and "Chinese Solutions" to the international conservation of agri-cultural heritage. Since May 2024, some reporters from the Farmers' Daily have conducted in-depth interviews on the frontlines and successively published a series of articles in the “Conservation Models" column of the "Agri-cultural Heritage" section of the Farmers' Daily. The 15 articles selected in this book respectively introduce the explorations and achievements made in the conservation and development of 13 GIAHS sites, supplemented by "Agri-cultural Heritage Stories" written by local people and related activities reported in the form of pictures. Readers could understand the efforts and main experiences of local management sectors, enterprises, cooperatives and farmers in the conservation and development of the GIAHS.
