香港网友纷纷表示愤怒，“竟然没有人帮忙”“台湾人自夸的人情味还在吗”“原来周围那么多人，都没有人去阻止他”“现在台湾的治安真的令人担心”。
A tourist from the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region was sexually assaulted in Taipei Main Station in Taiwan by a man on Oct 9, arousing netizens' anger, a media outlet in Taiwan reported. The attack lasted about 10 minutes, with no passers-by stepping in to help.

据报道，事件发生于9日下午，通缉犯邱胜明众目睽睽之下在台北车站大厅涉嫌性侵一名女子，不仅岛内哗然，香港媒体也先后报道。尤其当时多人目击，却没有人上前阻止，直到二楼的马来西亚籍旅客发现后，委托朋友帮忙报警，邱胜明才被警方逮捕。
The situation was ultimately interrupted after a Malaysian tourist noticed the disturbance and asked a friend to call the police. The suspect was then arrested.
联合新闻注意到，相关消息经港媒报道后，有香港网友愤怒表示，“没人帮忙就算了，为什么没人报警？”“下午应该整个台北车站满人，完全不能置信，又完全无保安人员发现。”
还有网友认为，“台湾人这样的冷漠，真的令人心寒”“通缉犯还敢大摇大摆地出现在车站”“如果在中环站发生，不用10秒就被制伏了”。
Hong Kong netizens expressed outrage, with many questioning, "Why didn't anyone call the police?" Some pointed out that the station was packed with people and it's completely unbelievable that no security personnel noticed. Others criticized the indifference of people in Taiwan to the situation.
Some netizens argued that Hong Kong would have done better in this kind of incident, commenting, "If this had happened in Hong Kong's Central Station, it would have been subdued in less than 10 seconds."
也有台湾网友留言说，“台湾人路过，我真的不知道还能多说什么，实在是很抱歉，非常抱歉。”
联合新闻网此前在报道中提到，邱胜明是一名有酒驾、毒品、盗窃前科的通缉犯，9日在台北车站大厅性侵一名酒醉倒地的香港籍女游客，事发经过约10分钟却无人制止，尽管铁警接获报案后逮捕邱，但事件曝光引发热议。
铁警证实两人是朋友关系，并称被害者因为在台北车站短暂住4天，进而与邱相识，女游客不胜酒力遭性侵。
Investigation revealed that the 44-year-old suspect, surnamed Chiu, was already wanted on outstanding theft charges.
Chiu and the victim knew each other, having met four days before, so the attack was not considered random. The victim was not sober when being sexually assaulted.
台陆委会副主委梁文杰16日称，目前受害者已经搭机离台，对于该起案件“备感遗憾与难过”。
