为推进中巴两国2025年后在国际大洋钻探领域的战略协作与科学创新，由巴西西诺斯谷大学和中国大洋钻探国际合作科学中心（同济大学）共同组织的中国－巴西科学大洋钻探国际研讨会将于2026年4月22-26日在巴西里约热内卢召开。会议将围绕以下四大主题展开交流：1）古海洋与气候演化；2）岩石圈与板块构造；（3）深部生物圈与碳循环；（4）矿产与水合物资源。
本次研讨会旨在搭建高层次学术对话平台，推动两国科学家在钻探建议设计、联合研究与青年人才培养等方面的务实合作。会议不收取注册费，申请截止日期为2026年3月10日。欢迎全球大洋钻探相关领域学者踊跃提交申请，共谋合作新篇章。会议详细内容请见以下1号通知。
China-Brazil Scientific Ocean Drilling Workshop

FIRST CIRCULAR (Call for Abstracts & Registration)
1. About the Event
International scientific ocean drilling stands as the longest-running, largest, and most successful collaboration in Earth sciences. Both China and Brazil have been active participants in this global effort and share a common vision for its future. To advance international cooperation in ocean drilling beyond 2025 and to explore new collaborative pathways, both sides have agreed to convene this workshop.
The workshop aims to create a platform for scientists from both countries to share recent advances in ocean drilling research and to facilitate strategic dialogue on specific mechanisms to promote bilateral collaboration. Key objectives include facilitating joint research, co-developing drilling proposals, and promoting exchanges and training for early-career scientists. Moreover, both sides will work to strengthen Brazil's role in China’s Deep Ocean Drilling Program (DODP).

Abstract format: MS Word or PDF file; title, authors, affiliation(s), e-mail address of corresponding author, main text (A4, maximum 2 pages including figures). All abstracts will be compiled into an abstract volume, which will be distributed to all participants.
8. Visa
Foreign nationals needing a visa to enter Brazil for the workshop must apply for and obtain it in advance. Participants are strongly encouraged to check out to determine their visa requirements. Those who need invitations should contact us at your earliest convenience.
9. Accommodation
Special rates will be arranged with nearby hotels for workshop participants. Accommodation details and booking information will be available for registered participants later.
