A Korean culinary variety show has taken an unexpected turn, offering viewers a glimpse into a "powerful showcase" of China's Antarctic capabilities.
在一档韩国综艺节目中，为感谢中方长期与韩国世宗王站的合作交流，韩国4名艺人“名誉队员”拜访中国南极长城站烹制答谢餐。
The program follows four Korean celebrities as they visit China's Great Wall Station to prepare a thank-you meal, acknowledging long-standing cooperation between China's station and Korea's nearby King Sejong Station.
出发前，韩国队员被提醒，在当时的时间节点，各国站区“可能都是冷冻食材，几乎没有生鲜食材”。
Before the trip, the team was cautioned that Antarctic research bases typically face severe shortages of fresh ingredients, particularly at that time of year.
但当韩国团队走进中国南极长城站时，眼前所见出乎他们意料：温室里蔬菜长势喜人，仓库中调料与食材一应俱全，还有醉虾、牛蛙等“稀罕”食材。
What they encountered instead challenged those assumptions. Inside the Chinese station, a functioning greenhouse was producing fresh vegetables, while storage facilities were well stocked with seasonings and supplies. Prepared dishes included items rarely associated with polar research life.
韩国队员直呼：“像来到了中国超市！”强大的物流与补给体系，让生鲜食品的长距离、高难度投送变为现实。
One participant described the scene as resembling a "Chinese supermarket", which is an offhand remark that nonetheless captured a deeper reality: the reach of modern China logistics, even at the farthest edges of the planet.
韩国队员用基地食材制作的答谢餐
天有不测风云。拍摄结束后，韩国团队受阻于暴风雪无法返回。韩国团队召开紧急会议，向中方站长小心询问其包含制作人员在内共29人的庞大队伍能否暂时留宿长城站。长城站站长“没问题，别担心”的“秒回”，让韩国队员瞬间眉头舒展。
When filming wrapped up, the Korean team found themselves stranded by a sudden blizzard. After nervously asking whether all 29 crew members could take shelter at the station, they received an instant reply from the station chief: "No problem, don't worry."
干净温馨的“雪景房”宿舍，“热水在这里、零食尽管拿”的热情招待……“风雪无情，长城站有请。”别人困难之际伸出温暖援手，是中国人的待客之道，彰显着深植于心的包容与友善。
在环境特殊的极地，守望相助凭的不单单是发自内心的善意。长城站越冬队员15人，却能“开门留客”，容纳远超常规编制的人员数量。这种“按满负荷设计”的底线思维，能够确保稳妥应对突发情况。
Hosting a group nearly double the station's usual winter crew of 15 is no small feat. It reflects not only goodwill, but also careful planning and robust infrastructure, with built-in safety redundancies for emergencies.
中国南极长城站火出圈，让人们不仅看见极地科考的“中国实力”，更感受到风雪中直抵人心的“中国温度”。成绩的取得，从来不是一蹴而就的。
After airing, the episode drew widespread attention to the Great Wall Station, highlighting both China's scientific capabilities and its human dimension on the world's most remote continent. Such capacity was not built overnight.
从“向阳红10”号、“J121”号船初征南极，到“双龙探极”破冰前行；从早期简陋的集装箱房，到如今功能齐备的现代化科考站……
极地求索四十余载，我国南极考察形成了“五站两船一基地”的格局，进入海陆空立体发展时代。这片冰天雪地，见证着中国人不服输的拼劲、敢为先的闯劲与攻难关的韧劲。
