Public information shows that since free admission began on Dec 1, 2025, 380,000 reservations went unused over a 56-day period. At its peak, daily no-shows reached 22,000, accounting for more than one-third of the site's approved visitor capacity.

1月26日,杭州西湖风景名胜区灵隐管理处发布关于优化杭州灵隐飞来峰景区预约机制的通告:

为进一步优化杭州灵隐飞来峰景区公共资源分配,解决预约过程中游客反映的问题,提升游览体验,景区决定自2026年2月1日起,对现行的预约机制进行优化升级,全新推出“线上候补”功能,并对预约规则进行优化调整。

通告明确:“首次爽约,预约账号和被预约人将被暂停预约资格30日。后续如再次爽约,暂停期将累计延长(如第2次60日,第3次90日)。”

In response, authorities announced on Jan 26 that the reservation system for the Feilai Peak scenic area will be upgraded from Feb 1, 2026, with the introduction of an online waitlist and stricter booking rules to improve resource allocation and curb repeated no-shows.

Under the new rules, a first no-show will result in a 30-day suspension for both the booking account and the registered visitor, with penalties increasing to 60 days for a second offense and 90 days for a third.

因不可抗力因素无法履约怎么办?据报道,灵隐飞来峰景区相关负责人介绍,“我们也保留了特殊情况申述渠道,对于因极端天气、突发疾病、交通事故等不可抗力因素确实无法履约的游客。相关人员可通过咨询电话提交有效证明材料,申请进行个案审核。”

Officials said exemptions would apply in cases of force majeure. Visitors affected by extreme weather, sudden illness, or traffic accidents may submit supporting documents via a hotline for case-by-case review.
