2月10日,国家卫健委召开新闻发布会,北京大学第一医院主任医师刘立军提醒,吃动物肾脏不能补肾,甚至有吃肾伤肾的结局。

China's top health authority on Tuesday warned that eating animal kidneys does not improve kidney function and may instead increase the risk of damage.

他介绍,动物肾脏虽然有一些蛋白质等营养物质,但实际上这些营养物质经过消化道处理之后,会变成最基础的氨基酸等等这类物质,并不能够定向转移到肾脏进行修复,在医学上不具备这样的功能。

Speaking at a press conference, Liu Lijun, chief physician at Peking University First Hospital, said that although such organs contain protein and other nutrients, these are broken down during digestion into basic components such as amino acids and cannot be directed to repair specific organs.

吃肾为何可能伤肾?刘立军解释,其实肾脏是一种高嘌呤的食物,像海鲜、浓汤等等都是高嘌呤的食物。嘌呤摄入过多以后,会代谢、分解产生尿酸,尿酸不仅仅会诱发痛风,对肾脏也可能造成损伤。尿酸在肾脏沉积会造成痛风肾病或者尿酸肾病,从而加重原有的肾脏疾病。

The organ meat is high in purines, which are metabolized into uric acid. Excess uric acid can trigger gout and contribute to kidney disease, particularly in people with pre-existing conditions.

第二,肾脏属于高蛋白食物。在患者肾功能不好的时候,这种高蛋白的食物代谢会产生很多废物,这些废物不能够充分排出体外,会加重肾脏的负担,或者引起毒素在体内的堆积,造成一些没有必要的损伤。

High protein intake also poses risks for those with impaired function, as it produces waste products that may not be fully excreted, adding to the body's burden.

第三,动物肾脏在烹饪和加工过程中,一些特殊的加工方法,反而会给肾脏造成额外负担。比如在外面吃烧烤等情况,难免会高盐饮食。盐分本身就是对肾脏影响最大的不良因素,这种高盐分的摄入会促进我们体内的水钠潴留,进而引起高血压,这些问题都会加重肾脏的损伤。

In addition, preparation methods such as barbecuing often involve high salt levels. Excess salt can lead to water and sodium retention, raise blood pressure and further aggravate damage.

“因此对于我们来讲,保护肾脏不在于吃什么补什么,而更多在于少吃什么来减少对肾脏的负担。所以说,刚才提到的除了动物肾脏以外,其他可能引起高盐、高蛋白、高嘌呤的饮食,理论上都应该避免。”他说。

Protecting renal health, Liu said, is less about eating specific foods and more about limiting diets high in salt, protein and purines to reduce unnecessary strain.
