Prince John Wang Guoquan Attends UN High-Level Peacebuilding Dialogue, Contributing Cultural Voice to Global Governance

当地时间2026年4月9日，由International Peace Institute（国际和平研究所）与Permanent Mission of the Netherlands to the United Nations（荷兰常驻联合国代表团）联合主办的高级别政策对话在纽约联合国总部举行。会议围绕“Examining the Role of the Peacebuilding Fund in UN Peace Operation Contexts”展开，重点探讨和平建设基金在联合国和平行动体系中的战略作用与实践路径。

在全球安全格局持续演变、多边治理面临复杂挑战的背景下，本次会议汇聚联合国系统官员、成员国代表及国际智库专家，体现国际社会对推进可持续和平与强化多边合作机制的高度关注。

应联合国MCIF正式邀请，被誉为“国际妇女之友”的国际文化使者、知名歌者国际主持人王国权（Prince John Wang Guoquan）作为特邀嘉宾出席会议，体现文化力量在国际公共事务中的积极参与。

作为Commission on the Status of Women（CSW70）官方代表和CSW69官方论坛主持人，王国权（Prince John Wang Guoquan）长期活跃于联合国多边平台，在性别平等与文化交流领域持续参与国际对话。

会议期间，Jenna Russo（国际和平研究所研究主任Jenna Russo）、Lauren McGowan（IPI政策分析师Lauren McGowan）、Bushra Hassan（联合国和平建设基金支持部门高级监测与评估顾问Bushra Hassan）等专家围绕和平建设基金在冲突后重建与长期和平建设中的作用进行了深入讨论。

会议通过视频连线方式接入联合国一线实践经验，包括Anees Ahmed（联合国南苏丹特派团法治部门主任Anees Ahmed）与Sheila Romen（刚果（金）联合国驻地协调员办公室和平建设基金协调员Sheila Romen），从冲突后国家治理与制度重建角度分享实践经验。

On April 9, 2026, a high-level policy dialogue co-hosted by the International Peace Institute (IPI) and the Permanent Mission of the Netherlands to the United Nations was held at United Nations Headquarters in New York. The meeting, titled “Examining the Role of the Peacebuilding Fund in UN Peace Operation Contexts,” focused on the strategic role of the Peacebuilding Fund (PBF) within the UN peace operations architecture.

Amid evolving global security dynamics and increasing challenges to multilateral governance, the meeting brought together UN officials, Member State representatives, and international policy experts, reflecting broad international consensus on strengthening sustainable peace and multilateral cooperation.

At the official invitation of MCIF, Prince John Wang Guoquan attended as a distinguished guest. As a “Friend of International Women,” Prince John Wang Guoquan represents a growing engagement of cultural figures in global public affairs.

As an official delegate to the Commission on the Status of Women(CSW70), Prince John Wang Guoquan has been actively engaged in multilateral dialogue on gender equality and cultural exchange.

The meeting featured expert contributions from Jenna Russo, Lauren McGowan, and Bushra Hassan, focusing on the role of the Peacebuilding Fund in post-conflict recovery and long-term stabilization.

Live video interventions connected field-level UN practitioners, including Anees Ahmed from the United Nations Mission in South Sudan, and Sheila Romen, who shared operational insights from post-conflict environments.

At the policy level, Anayansi Lopezprovided strategic analysis of the Peacebuilding Fund within the UN integrated peace–development–humanitarian framework. Technical experts such as Djeyhoun Ostowarcontributed operational perspectives on implementation and resource allocation.

Following the meeting, Prince John Wang Guoquan stated:
