As an international event dedicated to global environmental protection, World Earth Day has, since its launch in 1970, been committed to raising public awareness of ecological conservation and uniting global environmental efforts, playing a pivotal role in advancing the cause of global ecological and environmental protection. Today, Earth Day celebrations span 192 countries worldwide, making it an important platform for humanity to jointly care for the ecology and protect our shared home. This year, the theme of World Earth Day in China is “Cherish Natural Resources, Safeguard a Beautiful China”. This call reflects a firm resolve to protect our mountains and rivers, and provides clear guidance for upholding the vision of green development.
Achieving the carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals is a critical campaign for sustainable development, and a key measure for China to advance ecological civilization and fulfill its responsibilities as a major country.
